Well polished art and audio. I'm not quite sure what to do with the bullets except to destroy the bad items.

Well polished art and audio. I'm not quite sure what to do with the bullets except to destroy the bad items.
Some of the instructions are unclear. I don't really get what my goal is, even after reading the clarifying comments. I also tend to feel overwhelmed with all the stuff I'm supposed to deal with at any one time.
@tinykidtoo you can hit the number that is the result of the maths operation. If you hit the correct number you get a speed bonus. If you hit the wrong number you get your speed decreased.
The art is cute and all the sprites and assets looks really good, the music is also very good, but the gameplay is a bit confusing, I did not understand why a newspaper would explode and etc. But is so cute =p, I liked !
@spudboy Well... I have to agree with you in that. It is one of the flaws. But thank you for playing :) Will make sure I improve that next time!
@SVR_Audio Thank you! I will have that in mind next time!
Congratulations on your first game! It's always great to see new people try out good ideas.
As a quick note the instructions are wrong, at least for my keyboard (US), left is A not W. That was a bit confusing, but a quick description edit can correct that.
The music and graphics are great, but since you opted out of them, I'm guessing they weren't made specifically for this game. The game play is good but schizophrenic; specifically it feels like I'm playing to games simultaneously, the math game and the collection game. Both feel like kids game (not a bad thing, it does feel at least slightly educational), but together it is confusing who your intended audience is. It might be worth rethinking how to combine the two ideas in a bit more cohesive manner. Perhaps putting the numbers on pipes and having to catch the right thing and put it in the bin to select the answer or something similar.
Additionally, something is not resetting from game to game, as subsequent restarts are faster to the point that the game will give an instant game over after a while. Additionally there are times where both match answers spawn in the same vertical column making it impossible to hit the correct option in a few cases.
Nice game for a JS Game :D There some problems on the starting screen. The words on the right end of the screen get cut off where the window ends but get rewritten at the start of the next line.
@dalbinblue Your comment was great! You pointed out so many important things. I have corrected the instructions. The majority of people also blame the confusing gameplay. I have to admit they are right. I have that in mind now for the future. I also understand your point about the intended audience and the suggestion of the gameplay alteration is nice. Honestly liked it :) I didn't know about those bugs. Thanks for pointing them out!
@Traincraft hehe true :). Oh I hadn't notice. Was in such a hurry to finish... Thank you
Perfect work!
Hi! I like a lot the classic aspect of the game. I like the mechanic to get items and move them to recycle. Great music. As "something to improve feedback" I would include signs over the tunnels to say "boulders and bombs here", for example. Also, I don't see the relation between maths and get falling items to recycle. Nice game overall. Congratulations for your first ludum game!
Nice game, at first I didnt understand it but after reading the rules again I understood it more
Beautiful Music, but as many others have said, the gameplay is a bit confusing at first. Nice work!
A very hectic but fun game. The visuals and sound are very good. The gameplay mechanics are an interesting combination, but a little overwhelming. It was really hard to hit the numbers with so many items dropping. Still, the whole hectic gameplay experience has a lot going for it. I'd suggest a less steep difficulty curve, i.e. making few items drop over quite some time in the beginning to get used to the gameplay. Overall, good job and congrats on your first LD entry!
Nice to see a fellow low level gamemaker in this dangerous ocean of Unity games. It keeps it simple, it's fun to play and it's polished. Shame it's a jam entry, and you seemingly haven't done the assets, but music and graphics were still nicely chosen and put together.
That game went far. I like it! Please play, rate and comment on our game aswell: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/disaster-on-nebula-one
At first the gameplay is quite complicated as others have mentioned (also not very many people like doing math while playing video games) but once you figure it out it's pretty simple. The graphics and sounds are pretty nicley done.
There's also a bug on the canvas when it's typing out where words on the right hand site get cut off and then get rewritten on the next line. Not gamebreaking but a minor annoyance.
Well designed and pleasant game. The typing as introduction was a little too long and the words were not hyphenated right. However, the gameplay and idea are good, had a lot of fun playing. Good job!
