Nice idea for a game, I like how as a cyborg you lose your power as you move and attack. Couldn't figure out how to get past the guy with the shield! Graphics were good.
Great idea and the powerusage of the movement or the weapons is perfect, but the guys with the shields are too hard to kill. I got the first guy while standing far away from him and killing him with the ranged attack, but i don't know, if he was supposed to face the other way.
only windows (
Making the primary attack melee is a nice take on twin stick shooters. A bit of feedback an level transitions would be nice. At first I thought i died over and over and restarted a generated first level instead of getting through the game.
On a more general note, maybe you want to update your ld page to say that you uploaded a win32 build instead of source code. Also your `LIGHTING NEEDS TO BE REBUILD`.
It keep giving me Fatal Error.?
The game was too laggy for me, so I couldn't play it.
Fighting with different enemy types is cool. My favorite is the shielded one! Also, having a transition from a game over to new game would be nice.
Good music choice; definitely feels cohesive with the overall graphic style. I thought that maybe the background/environment may have been a slight miss-match with the character design though. The characters look really great with their neon glow look, while the environment has a very different style (I want to say that I also think this style looks nice, but it doesn't feel like it's "from the same world" as the character design. Just a quick note that I like how the 3D objects (e.g. the shipping containers) looked in the top down camera view. Overall pretty neat!
I like the sort of retrowave mood this game has. The biggest problem I believe is the lack of feedback to the player. The enemies getting hit and dying have no animations or special effects other than disappearing on death. Some visual effects would have made the game a lot more satisfying to play.
I like the graphic style, the music should probably not restart that much, level transitions could be more explicit, and I never understood how to kill the shield guys (killed one by accident). Otherwise it's a nice game, congrats :)
Great mood, great graphics! The music is pretty fitting, though it isn't electro swing music ;) It's pretty satisfying, though I didn't feel encouraged to dash or play ranged a lot, and the shielded guys are a pain do deal with (is there an efficient way to kill them? maybe a hit or two could break the shield, but it doesn't seem like it was the case). A small issue I got is when killing enemies, they just popped into energy (which might make sense, but it'd be cool to have them explode or have their body fall down and stay there). You might've wanted to get it tested in order to get some gameplay feedback. Overall super cool game, impressive for a jam game! Great job! I recorded some gameplay, is it okay if I upload it?
Very nice looking game, some lovely visual effects and sweet music too. There were a couple of jarring transitions between levels and the camera wasn't particularly smooth but those can all be ironed out with more time.
I did enjoy the main weapon being melee, but it was quite difficult to use the dash against the shielded enemies. Still the variety in attacks was nice.
Also very nice pun in the title.
The game kept crashing after a few seconds so I couldn't play it :(
I had time to see the visuals and animations look pretty nice and the character controller is smooth though! So eager to play!
Very cool game, love the graphics, the ennemies were cool too
Interesting concept, but not very easy to play and the player has no indication of what they need to be doing.
Great presentation - the graphics and sounds were good - I particularly liked the particles! The gameplay was smooth and i quickly got into a comfortable rhythm that was engaging. The camera felt a little bit jerky / harsh but I soon got used to it. The level changes were a little abrupt too, but overall a really great submission.
Well that's a nice game. It plays nie and it's fun to dash around.
I think you went a little over board with the motion blur, I think it's not very pleasent in the with all that camera wigglines.
But good job!!
Hmm, the controls were weird, much motion maybe? Really hard to correctly aim or to see what is happening. The ranged attacks seemed too slow. The enemy attacks need to be clearer (amidst the weird camera movement, is hard to see it).
The level transition was too abrupt, tho we made the same mistake in our game (not much to complain hahaha).
The sound suits well. Good job overall tho.
