Wow, I really like the idea of this game! Good job. It's fun to play but unfortunately due to requiring two people and a controller I think you will get less interest. One of my favorite games so far!

Thanks Stephen! And if you don't have anyone to play with, remember the State is always with you.
Not working with XBox one controller on win7 64b EDIT: Fixed it, pretty fun. Has lots of issues starting up.
i can't play it.I can open the instructions but can't start the game
I played against myself just to get the general feel of this. I LOVE THE CONCEPT, the way games work nowadays are sort steering away from these sort of games. And it's a shame because I'd find this loads of fun to play with some friends over. It took a little while to understand what to do, so the help at the beginning was definitely useful. This game also has so much more potential to add many more pwerups for both the state and the resistance.
Great Job!
This looks really cool, but I can't start it for some reason. The screen just stays black. I'm on the newest version of Win10 right now.
@zelos Win10 has problems with fullscreen, and the game forces fullscreen when it starts up. I'm updating the game with the ability to toggle fullscreen, and hopefully it'll work now.
I dig your Mad Duck profile picture!
I had the same win 10 error :/
Same here, black screen on win10 :(
Still blackscreening? That's really strange, especially given that I tested this game on my Win10. Unfortunately, I have no idea what could be causing it at the moment now that fullscreen is off by default...
Intense.
Nice take on the Hidden in plain sight formula. Both sides have their weaknesses, but I would say playing as the resistance is easier in the end once you master the skill of blending into the crowd. A few small issues:
* It is rather easy to keep tabs on the spawn-points as the state and kill the operative right when they emerge. This could be alleviated by having civilians constantly spawn from and end their journeys to the same points too. The resistance player can always figure out which dot their agent is by timing their spawn correctly.
* The different colored doors are quite tough for colorblind people. Each door could be associated with a shape too, for instance: red square, green triangle, yellow circle, etc, to remove the problem.
Had a lot of fun with this. Great work!
Thanks for the feedback, @huvaakoodia! Glad you enjoyed the game, and the Resistance will be sure to change some of their tactics if there's ever an updated version.
my only real concern was how difficult it was to actually play since it required both a controller and another person(i didn't have the other person but you know whatevs) i think it would be really good if you added online support in the future (obviously you would not have gotten that for the ld) and maybe an option to use the keyboard instead of a controller. on the other hand the graphics were decent and the music was really nice i also really liked the twist you put on the theme by making it political power instead of like energy or something.
I cannot start the game, I don't knowt why, I pressed A + RightClick and just the instructions appear...
@dino-jr Right-clicking takes you to the instructions, you have to left-click and hold A for the game to start. The little icons on the menu screen should be lighting up as you do it.
I love the concept and the art style. Overall it is a good game but I don't think many people will be able to play as it is a controller game and requires two people. Works well with console and fabulous work for 48hrs. Good job and keep it up!
This was really fun! There was definitely a learning curve, but once we got into the swing of it we had a great time. I think that converting the tutorial text into in-game hints and popups would help reduce the initial curve, and I had the same fullscreen==black screen issue. Overall, I think the game was pretty well-balanced for players at the same skill level. Nice work!
Edit: Played on a PC with a GTX 760 running Windows 10, if that helps for debugging.
Nice game! The only problem I can see is that you require to have a controller. If you can make it use also the keyboard, I'm sure more people will play it. And if you can make it available for a single player even better. Good job!
Very nice game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwlGq7uM8W4
