Hello, my fellow Godot-user! I like the aesthetic of your game, it looks beautiful! The enemy pathfinding is a bit simplistic, but the way the second level was set up made me think that's done on purpose, since the walking guys can't path around the holes in the ground while the flying guys simply fly over it. The balancing felt fine to me. Some rooms were quite hard, but it never felt unfair or anything like that. Great job!

Some crowd control ability in early game would be useful, it's easy to die. I don't get empty rooms, like the first one on the South. I don't have any reason to fight with these guys if there is no reward :P Graphics is pretty. I agree with @zedutchgandalf on pathfinding - I like the idea of dumb walking enemies that can't go around walls.

@zedutchgandalf Hey man thanks a ton for your comment
Yeah I did intend to make more of a variety of enemies but unfortunately ran out of time. It's a shame since I structured my code to make adding enemies easy, but didn't have time to make smarter path finding and art..
I'll be sure to try out your game when I get home! Glad to see other Godot users here haha

@teddydd
Yeah I agree. I spent way too long working on the game's framework and couldn't add as much content as I intended too. :slight_frown:
I actually did create a cc system, where the enemies will run in the opposite direction for a given time after being hit by a given type of bullet, and was intending to give this ability to the player in the said Southern room. Really wish I spent my time more wisely...
Either ways thanks a ton for you comment, I'll be sure to try out your game too ASAP.
Nice work. I think if the rooms & enemies totally reset when you entered it would be too hard, but seeing as you can take out one enemy then leave & re-enter the room to take down another after everyone's positions have reset it's quite manageable. That felt like an odd way of playing at first, but there's something quite satisfying about the urgency of it. Nice pixel art and a great UI. For a first game jam this is a really great game!

@cakemonitor Thanks a lot for your comment :)
Yeah although I did not intend it initially, I realized it turned out to alright as a mechanic in the end.
This is so cute, the game is quite short and simple but is lovely, the art is great, the mechanics can be improved, I am surprised that it is your fist game, you should be proud, great job !

A nice little game and really well presented. It's a shame there isn't more to it, but otherwise it's a solid effort! :)

Thanks guys for your comments  Yeah I hope for my next jam I can work faster so I can add as much as I should have haha
Using Godot is a nice choice and it is well presented. Unfortunately there is not any more to it. But on the bright side, the graphics are really good and a great UI (x100000 better than I could do - just look at it https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/get-energised). It is simple and lovely, in its grace it is beautiful - like a dove. Keep it up!

"And so the aventure continues... if the creator wasn't such a noob and worked faster :(" lol definitelly not expecting that. The UI looked great, and the graphics were nice. Really liked the background music. The flying guys were a little OP on some screens, but overall the difficulty was fine. Wanted to see the rest of powerups of the game! Anyway, good job!
Short and simple. The graphics work well. The music volume should be higher in relation to the sound effects. The lazor sound drowns it out at the moment.
Would have liked to play through a few more levels. Now we will never find out what the rest of the abilities were going to be about.
Ok entry in all. Good for a first go even.

Nice entry! It actually became quite difficult pretty quickly =]
