It's a good concept, but not very well executed. Try to make third person, when you move your mouse, move your camera, the gameplay will be better, but i have a lot of fun playing xD
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD39 → Tank Battle !

AMAZING, Solo create this game !!! AWESOME IDEA , I SEE GREAT WORK IN THIS GAME , YOU ARE BRAVE!!!! Congratulations 5/5 for your bravery !!! GOOD LUCK ^..^
The idea is there and it is interesting. The downside is actual execution - aiming is extremely hard, the game seems too fast for me. It misses some balancing in my opinion.
I think this game was amazing for a Ludum Dare game! It was good in all categories except for humor or mood (for obvious reasons) I would recommend opting out in those categories, also I think that it was too easy.
The scope of this game in the context of a game jam is bonkers - not sure just how you made it happen but kudos to you sir! I really enjoyed that!
Thank you very much for your feedback ! It's greatly appreciated :)
Really cool and extensive game for a LudumDare competition! My only two gripes are that the controls can be a little wonky, mostly due to the glide effect of the robot after releasing the forward key and the aiming is a bit tricky. Overall though this is a really amazing game for 48 hours! Nice!
An ambitious game that promises a lot with its cool graphics & UI reminiscent of PSX/early PS2 games (for some reason it reminds me of Star Wars Racer & Battlefront II in particular).
Unfortunately the game is not really playable, as the tanks are very bumpy, the controls frustrating and the enemies very hard to locate unless... they're shooting at you. In a couple occasions I died within a second of spawning. I only killed one enemy throughout all my ~10 attempts.
Too bad you lost so much time with the the procedural tanks, if the game was more balanced it could have been great. But hey working on procedural tank generation must have been a cool exercise, and that's also what LD is for - experimenting. We don't succeed every time!
A good concept. Though I suggest slow down the tank and not bump it up & down, it feels things move too fast and hard to aim right now.
Great job on your game! It was a bit difficult to get the feel of the controls and the tanks momentum, but after a couple of tries I got the hang of it and it was a blast!
I really liked hopping around in the map, blasting other tanks. I liked the fact that the tanks had destructible parts, it was a nice polishing touch to the game.
I got a bit confused with the weapon swapping, It would be nice if the was a different visual effect depending the weapon.
I like the core concept but man are the controls crazy. The camera spins like there is no tomorrow and it's almost impossible to get it to point such that you can actually see the tanks shooting at you. Trying to move up the ramps on the "big" arena is, in my opinion, a fool's errand.
But! I had fun nonetheless. My main gripe aside from the main game controls is that 'P' (as well as the 'Quit' button when you push escape) should take you to the menu, not exit the game completely, in case you want to switch arenas or read the instructions.
Also, I'm not entirely sure what "hover jump" is supposed to do, as it never actually did anything for me.
Fun game, and like has been said very ambitious for a jam game - great job pulling it off. I didn't really have any problems with the difficulty, aiming was hard at long range, but doable. After killing 7 tanks in a game it looks like tanks stopped spawning, the scoreboard thing said there was a green tank but I couldn't find it so i just drove around for 2 minutes. Unlike some others are saying I thought the execution was good. Only problem I had was spotting tanks at long range. Maybe some kind of floating indicator would've worked there. Good work with the game, I liked it.
Edit: one thing I forgot: the power mechanic didn't really come into play much, more could've been done with that. But with how much stuff you got into the game in such a short time, I can see why not every mechanic is done to perfection.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated guys. Thank you very much, I will keep your tips and suggestions in mind for the next LD :)
Hey! Very good entry! I like the graphics and that you managed to make fans! Feels very natural. It kept me for a while, but then it seems like enemies stop spawning in some time. Anyway I played one more time and after all I enjoyed! Thank you, good game
