Quite a fun game, the idea of being nearly powerless until you recharge added some real strategy elements, the one thing that really got me though was the camera.

Hi there! Congrats on releasing and nice use of the theme. A couple of suggestions - the movement feels very sluggish, I would definitely speed that up a little bit especially rolls. And the camera shake every footstep is a little bit too much.

I love that roll! It would've been great to have more control on the camera, to be able to look around (E.g. there's an oil barrel in a corner. You could start looking sideways while still going for the oil barrel). The animations were great, that zapping, that running and especially the dodge roll. Good work!

The camera should be adjustable with the mouse, and i get stuck inside an electricity container :´D. But it is funny how the player roles and i like this concept. Creating all that in 48h great job :) Maybe with more time you can add a menu. And i don't know why but i couldn't here the music :S

Nice work! The movement of the robot is slow, but I guess that's how it supposed to be because you're a giant robot after all.

@Rakowu Lak of music is concerning, I know I've spent 2 hours bashing my keyboard into my face to make it, and it's half the pun (the music is kinda metal-ish)

Great game! Though I would appreciate an accessible button to exit it in the end... Also roll animation is really slow... Not that it stops you from avoiding attacks (and in any case changing direction of movement also help avoiding fire unless there are too many tanks around)

spliter 2017-07-31 23:06

@hilvon yeah, the roll is kind of slow, and it took me a while to get it down, used to be much worse. In reality when you roll, the tanks will immediatelly stop aiming where you're going to be, and simply fire at the place where you started the roll. I wanted to keep the big clunky feeling, but also trying to make it more fair.

Cool game! The movement felt a little slow though. And it would have been nice to be able to look around with the mouse. Also, using more than one particle texture would improve the graphics a ton! But overall I liked it!

Great animation, it really feel like controlling a giant robot (with the heavy footstep sound, the camera shake...). The concept is cool, my only complaint is that it's too easy (the tank firerate is a bit slow). Also there is a blank at the end of the music so when it loops there is no music for like 10 seconds.

The movement is too slow but I also had some problems rolling, sometimes the robot would move forward the distance and then roll on the spot rather than rolling and moving. But overall, not bad!

The speed of movement and sounds the robot makes are great to make you feel like your huge and have weight. I appreciate the effort of putting in a tutorial small tutorial at the beginning rather then a wall of text. The gameplay itself was a little simple for my taste, and it didn't really mix it up too much so I would have liked to see a little more variety in terms of enemies or abilities. But overall a solid, functional loop.

(By the way, I think you have a missing texture in one of your bush prefabs)

Nice game! I enjoyed stomping around as an iron giant! The animations are good, and the camera shake and sound fx give a nice feeling of weight. Could do with mouse look and maybe a few more gameplay elements, but overall a solid little entry.

That was an awesome little game!! The size of the various objects, enemies, and the Behemoth really set the mood. For such a tight timeframe, that was a very well polished little game, I would love to see more enemies and levels if you decide to flesh this out farther. I did run into one bug, I rolled into an electrical charge and destroyed it at the same time that I was coming out of the roll so the player got stuck in there. Resetting the game took care of it and I was able to complete it, but just something to keep in mind :)

Anyway! Keep up the great work! I would love to see this as a full project!!
