The link to itch.io does not work, you gamejolt did work. Nice game, awesome that you finished this in 25h. I found your game by entering "survival "GAME: COMPO" site:ldjam.com" on Google btw.

@frodewin Ahh thanks! ^^

Great start! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation [video series](https://youtu.be/GZJJwwdwpaQ), if you’d like to take a look :)

@jupiter-hadley Thanks. Yeah i saw the vid, it was great! ^^

I like that you just had 25 hours and decided to make something like this. To even be able to decide the size of the world was amazing. I didnt really find something unexpected though, which by no means is something bad. I had fun playing and running around. I somehow managed to get my wood counter to -40. So I guess I got a loan somewhere ^^ To sum it up: I had fun and thats it what is important to me.

The grahpics were different than other survival games I know, which was cool! But you forgot to check if the player had enough wood in his inventory to craft something, because at a certain moment I had -109 wood :wink:

Simple polygon like graphics, it's daringly to combine with survival theme :) But I like it :)

@hadik @christian-koch @mrgussio Thanks guys! And the bug you two(@christian-koch @mrgussio) encountered was that i forgot too change the value of how much the wooden wall costs. So it will check if your wood is >= 20 wood, but then intead of taking that 20 wood it took 25. ^^

I feel like making a survival game with crafting and resource gathering is a bit too ambitious for a gamejam. I'm still impressed you could make it all work within a single weekend!

That being said, the game felt kind of rushed and hacky as a result. My advice is: have a much smaller scope so you have the basics working the first day. Then spend the second day polishing everything up and really improving the user experience. You'll find your games will look and play much better as a result!

Good luck!

Pretty cool, but a bit clunky. More content would be nice!

Impressive that you made a crafting and building system in less than 48 hours! Building is kinda awkward, and collecting resources in a bit boring. Interesting art style though, especially the character. Good job.

Nice game! Glad to see you'll be continuing to work on that.

Quite and ambitious project you started here! Sadly, there isn't a ton for me to play around with at the moment. I'm rather shocked at the extent to which you created... er, menu stuff. Things like the color picker for crosshair colors, ya know? Would not have expected that to be on your list of features!

I had a couple UX issues with what you do have here. First off, it took me FOREVER to figure out new construction placement was centered on my character and not the cursor. Another other issue is that I would like to hold down the mouse button when harvesting materials rather than clicking over and over again.

Kudos for having the moxie to take on a project like this for LD Compo!

Since the game is made in Unity, I'd appreciate a Linux version. The editor supports it out of the box, just in case yo u didn't know. Doesn't run very well on Wine, the fonts don't seem to load (and highest graphics settings cause a blackscreen, I'm guessing that's related to DirectX 11 somehow). Looks pretty cool though!
