Hi, nice game and congratulations ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.

Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.

Great game, get progressively challenging but very fun and the mechanics are great.

This concept has some potential! I really like it.

OSX version says currently unavailable :( the screenshot looks cool!

This is pretty good idea. The game mechanics are cool. I just wish there were some HUD so I could know my current stats. Please do more levels!

Innovative, fun, and simple, what else could you need from a game? Well maybe something other than standard unity assets but that's a minor detail :D

Nice mechanics, simple and cool. Agree with other comments that a hud of some sort would be good to show how much progress has been made, and what I'm working towards. A good start!

Very cool und funny game, I liked it :D Also agree with the HUD problem I was a bit confused at the beginning

peringo 2016-08-31 11:35

BTW I overworked my game, it should work for now ;)

Cool game, nice concept!

hackingroelz 2016-08-31 13:32

Cool concept! It's a bit laggy though and it was a bit confusing at the start. The audio was pretty nice. Good job!

@nkorth: OSX version fixed!

That one is pretty fun. But i would love to have a better indicator for your light blast uses

hellblazer 2016-08-31 21:49

Interesting concept, though not quite sure how it fits the theme.

The special is confusing me though... It doesn't seem to have the cooldown you mention, and sometimes it looks like I die when I use it, even if I'm not spamming it? Weird.

Gameplay is engaging but the lack of feedback really can be annoying, many times i lost and i wan't sure why. Other than that it's pretty fun experience and music + sounds effect add to the game. Simple graphics but consistent style.

@Robert, @HellBlazer, @Zeriver: Thanks for the feedback!
So, the special costs 30% of your total health. We thought that changing the colors of the player based on its current health would be sufficient to display that (we were wrong!). We will add this to the description.
And @HellBlazer, you are right, the special doesn't have cooldowns. We will update the description. Thanks!

I liked the concept, but as others said, the lack of feedback and what's going on can lead to a confusing experience at first. The simple theme works well, even if it doesn't fit the theme of the jam. Overall the concept shows promise.

I did notice my health was linked to my color, but i couldn't tell whether or not the items enemies dropped actually did anything since it seemed to barley change my hue. I also though the beams of light might heal me at first, but once I saw the ray, I understood what to do pretty quick.

I dig the music, and dodging games are always neat, but there was one issue I encountered apart from the lack of feedback others have mentioned. I think the circles of light might be a bit too small for what they do. Most of the game is spent dodging attacks, but since the spotlights are so small, I find myself unable to dodge when I want to use the light. It felt like going to use them was setting myself up to get hit, which made me want to just evade them.

With some more tweaking, this could be a really cool game though. The basics are strong enough for it!
