Very playable, but gets repetitive quickly. Add more tracks?Pity the cars do not collide with each other. Works well on my tablet, though the touch areas for left and right are too small.

Pretty fun, like the idea where you have to outrace the enemy to win a point

Nice!

A couple of times I got so far out in front that I couldn't see the track ahead of me and crashed before the "P1 point". Also after one respawn my steam engine was going round in circles as if I were holding down the turn button, but I wasn't touching the keyboard.

Feels like micro machines, yeah! I think the steam effect adds quite a bit, the minimalism is very charming to me. I would of maybe liked to see another mechanic to make it more your own, but as it is, it's very fun, playable, and great two player game. I'd like to echo the collision point too. Fantastic that it runs on tablet too!

Nice little game, would be nice too add more steam based mechanics in the form of pick up (water for example).

good work

The graphics were really nice, simple and clean. It was pretty fun, but not being able to ram other players felt very frustrating to me. That combined with the fact that the ai never messed up, at least in the time I played, it didn't really feel like you were racing anyone but yourself. It was also slightly annoying that the camera didn't focus more on you when you were in the lead, but the controls were very smooth allowing you to react even if there wasn't much space to see.

the outracing the opponent concept is very solid, but having it so it has to do with camera, it's not that good of a idea. Anyhow, solid gameplay, I had fun with it.

Thanks for all the great comments. I'm definitely aiming to have player collisions in my 'post jam' version of the game.

I'm glad people are trying it on tablet. I was aiming for a 'cosy' player vs player experience, but the touch controls do need some work.

Having pickups like water and coal to keep your fuel topped is also on my to do list - I just ran out of time during the jam. The tracks are super simple to make too, so I'll hopefully have a few more of those too.

Thanks again.

I wish I could collide with the other car! however it was very pleasing to play! I hope you take this farther but still keep that simple design feel :)

This reminds me a lot of micro machines :)

Sound effects would add a lot to the game, music as well. Since this is a jam entry there is no excuse to not include stock sounds. The game would instantly be twice as good.

Also collision between the cars would be great. This would make the game much more competitive and fun.
