Hard to understand, there could be some kinda of tutorial.
I needed some time to figure out how the traps work. The tripwire icon is really hard to see, it took me a few times (and a sxecond look at the description) till i realized that they must be there. The timer is kind of annoying if you are still figuring out how it works.
The music fits the game nicely. Sounds egyptian.
Overall: Good job!
Oh woooow ! So much work dude ! Amazing :D
I just played your game, and a tutorial is REALLY important here, i spent 15 minutes to find how to kill this thieves, but thanks to @lonesurvivor I found out there were something else than blocks :p
Finally, good music, nice graphism, matching sounds, gameplay amazing, path finding (really?!), concept matching the theme... Even build a strategy is funny, helping with the pathfinding (strike to the chest) and helping with actuals walls, I could kill 25 of them :D
Your game deserves much attention, an to be evaluated a good tutorial, you might add something as a fix like "Hey, click around the block on the top to change selected tool !" and everything will be fine ^^
Thanks a lot mate :D
@Efmi_
Thanks for your comment! Have added a small tutorial to the description here, I am at work now so I can't change the game unfortunately :( I might add a tutorial up in the next few days though!
@lonesurvivor
Thankyou for your feedback! Shall definitely work on making that tripwire a bit more visible, and maybe giving more time in the first round so the player can get their feet! Thank you heaps :)
@Vegevan
Haha thanks so much dude! :D Yeah I just added a mini-tutorial to the description, hopefully will put up another tutorial in a few days! :)
Thankyou so much for your comments :) Gamemaker makes pathfinding super easy, like 3/4 lines of code! Haha well done! :)
Its like a "frozen synapse" meets tower defence, Interesting concept
@Drumsmasher17 Wow thank you heaps! :) glad you found it interesting :)
Nice game!
I remember making a pretty complex game a few LDs ago, without a tutorial. Instead I had this "Free Play" mode without pressure of time (waves of enemies) where players could get used to the game and its controls first. A lot of people said that helped. This game could have used something like that too (I understand creatign a tutorial for this would have taken some time) - because it's a very solid idea otherwise. Just that it needs a lot of time to even understand. Great work!
The game seems nice, but a tutorial or a guided first level would be appropriate. It's hard to understand how to operate traps and what to do there.
The art is great, and I really liked it!
I wasn't sure how to kill more than two thieves. Without the description, I would not have found the different elements except for the blocks. Fitting music and theme! :) The trap mechanics look interesting, but maybe would need an explanation/demonstration of how they work.
Realy cool game good job
@Xakkar thanks! :)
@Diptoman yeah good idea! That wouldn't be too hard to implement either... Thank you heaps :)
@yotam180 Yeah we agree! If we keep working on it it's definitely a feature that will be there! thank you for your comment :)
@blinry Thank you for your comment! :) definitely agree there should be a better introduction to the game thanks for that :)
@Amine Tcherak thank you! :)
The controls aren't obvious but when you get a grasp of the game oh man it's really fun. Ended up at 198 thieves killed (goddam thieves, stop stealing my treasure) I really like that one used per object tower defense theme.
I think two things would benefit the game :
More time between levels. Or just a "go" button to start the wave : since you can't put traps during the game, it's just a question of planning how you'll put your traps.
Good job and congratulations on the game !
@Rakart Haha thankyou! wow 198 you gun!
Yeah good point, after playing it again I totally agree there needs to be more time between levels!
Thanks so much for your comment :)
