I think this game could really be turned into a polished thing. Love the concept and the graphics. Was easily able to kill the opponent without transforming by spamming attack. Also I love how clicking the keys on the controls page shows you what it does but pressing enter started the game w/o me being able to finish learning the controls! Also had to quit to try again. Great work though I like it!
I can't figure out the strategy or it's like if you combined Magic the Gathering with arcade button mashing against an AI that's way faster than you, except even if you are that fast it doesn't seem to matter as your access to abilities relies on chance (Is it random? I never got the wolf card either).
It's unique for sure, I kinda like it actually, but I don't really enjoy playing it in its current state. This could have benefited greatly from a tutorial or weaker enemy to start off, that enemy is instantly on you and absolutely relentless.
Interesting idea, but it's a touch underwhelming due to the fact that you can win without using any of the cards. An action card game is an interesting concept, but I feel it could benefit from a few brief moments of non-action so people to allow planning. This could lead to being able to select cards in a strategic way, which opens a lot of doors for cards.
However, given that this was a 48 hour contest, no points off for not managing that. =P
Apart from that, the graphics are nice, and the gameplay is still fun, which is why I wish it was a bit more fleshed out. It does have potential as an idea, though! =)
Well done!
On a side note: for my game, on the third level, you need to be the same 2D shape as the object you want to go to in order to swap to it. Please try again, once you get that the game is a lot more fun! =)
You might see a big difference in people who used the gamepad VS the keyboard and mouse. I used the gamepad and couldn't pull the trigger key as fast as I can click the mouse. Also the mouse click has no delay where the gamepad right trigger button does have a huge delay.
nice idea a battle of shapeshift
The wait is long since the first card
Really nice graphics, great idea about combining genres, but I think the controls could be slowed down and maybe add some more traditional attack mechanics e.g. knockback, shield, overheat etc.
Really cool experience playing your game! It's a bit fast, but the concept of the cards to use during the fight is an interesting combination. Enjoyed playing it!
Nice idea of combining cards with real-time combat. But maybe slower and more tactical combat would have been better.
I like it! The use of cards is unique. For improvement, I would make the enemy a different color and make the player's heath bar distinguishable from the enemy's. I also liked the models.
This could be very good if only the mechanics were better tuned
A very instersting concept, but lack of instructions make the game a bit odd. Thanks for share
