I can't seem to get past the select level menu as nothing happens when i click the buttons

mister_melon 2015-08-24 12:23

Same issue that happened to Wontonz, happened with me also the mouse seemed a bit off with selection (I had to move it to the left of a button to actually select said button)

garvon 2015-08-24 12:30

I also cant get into the game because nothing happens when selecting level

samcoy 2015-08-24 12:44

What version are you guys using? You need to select Level 1 first, the levels unlock as you go through them.

thomastc 2015-08-24 12:52

I also can't get past the level select. The button highlights when I hover over it, it lights up some more when I click, but nothing else happens :(

Fixed. The level unlocking system was locking all levels for some reason, so I disabled it. Will re-enable when fixed. Thank you all for your patience.

Nice idea but i think it was too easy and WAY TOO LOUD.

tibyte 2015-08-24 13:40

The game was deafeningly loud for me, small problem. Otherwise there's a lot going on, and I know that it's the twist of the game that it doesn't tell you much, but thats off putting to some.

congusbongus 2015-08-24 13:41

Interesting concept; reminds me of the Zelda mask-mimic enemies that move as you do. Unfortunately the shooting sounds are way too loud because you are playing the sound for every shot.

artylo 2015-08-24 13:45

Ether you made a really difficult game, or I'm really confused about how you're supposed to pass some levels.
You introduced one enemy at the start and that was all okay, but you then introduced there gun turrets, that shoot three random bullets at every input. I had no idea how to counter that, so I found myself dancing around bullets like I was in the Matrix. And some sounds are obnoxiously loud

Nice game, man! Just one tip: make the tutorial text visible right when you start the first level (right now it only appears when you move forward) and also add in the text that is possible to double jump (I died a lot in the spikes before figure this out lol).

aprotasenya 2015-08-24 13:49

As Mister_Melon pointed out, you really have to aim nearly a button's width to the left of the button to highlight it and click.
In level 1 I could not jump over the spikes - I try to jump as late as I can, but the jump is too low and the row of spikes is too long.

I love the concept with enemies mirroring whatever you do, but in different ways for different types of enemies. Good job dude.

Hi you're really not meant to hotfix your compo entry only for very minor literal typos and crashes that mean you can't finish the game. If you want release a post compo version with the changes but you should still have a link to your original compo version, bugs and all.

spindizzymr 2015-09-01 11:17

I like the enemies mirroring concept.

Gave up on something like the 4th or 5th level. Double jump kept failing and green guy had a 50/50 chance of falling through platform instead of landing on it, some sort of tunelling with the collision detection I guess.

Very nice project guys, i really love it, please check our game too and if you liked it give us a vote. Look for Road to hell and enjoy.

Now that an idea, make the player "controlling" everything! Like the idea!
