A bit too easy to mash the keyboard and stay alive. Got well past 400 tanks before my arm started to get tired, lol.

Yeah mashing the keyboard kinda breaks this game. It would be nice to have the player type actual words instead of random letters, I know it would be a lot harder to do, but it'll make the game a lot better. A wpm counter would be nice as well
One thing you may want to try to do is check each tank sequentially from the bottom of the screen to the top, making the player place another input to attack other tanks. In it's present state, multiple tanks have letters removed if they use the same letter at the start. That being said, this is rather nostalgic. :D
A little susceptible to button mashing, at least until the later difficulty. Had a nice smooth difficulty curve and a pretty good pace.
i think its got a good pace indeed, quite nice game for wasting time if you following the rules and not mashing keyboard
A fun idea. I think it'd be more enjoyable if you used a dictionary of real words, as well as added some downside to mistyping.
Nice game, and the difficulty curve feels good. Penalties for mistyping and using real words instead of random lettes, could both be suggestions for further improvement.
An entertaining concept, albeit a little repetitive given enough time - a little more in the way of audio, effects or additional gameplay features (I'd also echo the need for some way of preventing button-mashing) would likely result in a decent game :)
