Thanks! Try to bring one or two friends and try it out again.. Had some great fun last night heads up against my friend Björn.. :-)
Very nice. You can make this an asynchronous game and solve some of the troubles of finding playmates.
Confusing at first but as soon as I got the hang of it I was hooked and played several games. It's a simple concept but you still need some solid strategy to win. The feeling of mustering troops for a mission is great and after a while the logistics just come natural. The time limit is a great touch on something that would otherwise probably feel stale and slow (like waiting for each other to make a move). I also like that you move at the same time and not every other turn. It makes it very intense.
Nice graphics and pretty fitting audio as well (although the sound when losing a village is a bit loud). It's also very ambitious to make a multiplayer game and I'm impressed that you pulled it off. A couple of matched had 3 and even 4 players!
I would love to see this become a fully featured game with a lobby, ranking and ladder etc. It reminds me of KDice (a multiplayer version of Dice Wars) but without the crazy randomness. You can't blame it on the RNG if you lose in Valley of Trolls.
My son and I played this for a long time and really enjoyed it!
pretty good game!
Very nice, congratulations
Great game! At first I couldn't tell which color I was, but I figured it out eventually. I'm super impressed you managed to make a fun, well-balanced multiplayer game for the compo! Now, if only I could win... :)
This is really innovative! Multiplayer was unexpected but really fun!
I wasn't able to play this game, no input seemed to be working. The concept looked cool though. Running on Firefox 34.0.5
Seemed ok, but sound was sometimes too loud, also the game behaved some sort of randomly sometimes.
Chrome or Safari is recommended.. I will try to make a firefox later this weekend, havn't tried it at all in firefox yet.. And huh, making this working before the deadline was sure a lot of intense§ work :-)
reminds me to a mushroom game for the iPad. Excellent Idea, I would suggest you could start with more soldiers or less blank soldiers.
Now i figured out how to play :) multiplayer games are nice! good job :D
Good game, well done :)
Very nice game! The networked play was a surprising addition, though I wish there was local play as well (course that would be hard to do without letting the other player see the values on the villages).
Felt a bit like The Kingdom of Loathing meets Eufloria. I kept losing, but it was enjoyable!
While playing I remembered of Mushroom Wars, which is a good thing. Good job, man!
Fun game, the idea with the sound indicating the end of each turn is cool and great that you got network multiplayer working. The trolls confused me at first, they tend to populate the whole map after a while.
Somehow I always lose, just because I keep sacrificing my whole army to the mountain gods.
Nobody joined so... couldn't rate.
