I'm up to date on chrome, and I'm getting this error: May require a recent version of firefox or chrome/chromium. Also, you probably don't want to have a web link if it's going to start a download.

Works fine on firefox 8. Interesting game, shame there's so little of it. It would have been nice if the text and health etc was in an overlay, but the sound effects fitted well and I like the humour in the messages.

@wbobeirne: The web version is now actually web playable, thanks for pointing that out! I'm currently trying to figure out why chrome isn't working...

@johnl: thank you! I'm thinking about working much more on it after the compo is all over, and putting an absolute ton of content in it!

Works fine in Chrome for me! I like that the gameplay is somewhat nonlinear and you have to explore and find your way around. I missed a lot of messages because I kept pressing arrow keys. And why's it so small?

I like the story of this game, as well as the graphics and sound, but it really is just a roguelike isn't it? There was some humour I thought; however it didn't really seem like you were "alone" until the end when you jumped into the escape pod. The theme is shown, so that's good enough. I would have liked some capital letters in the speech though. Good job.

Congrats of your first dare, pbdiode. Interesting story. I can see where you took your inspiration from, but roguelike controls/UI only seems to fit a slow-paced, "requires thinking of what action you want to do next" style of gameplay. I found myself wishing that I didn't have to spam buttons to just move around. Mapping health and adding some more on screen feedback for being critically injured, etc would have been nice (since I was just flying around killing things). Though for your first, solid job. :)

I like the opening sequence a lot. Might have been more interesting if there was a bit more depth though; things like different types of enemies might take some time, but would be very valuable to the gameplay.
