ok so that was a mess, i forgot when its on the web the movieclips don't have focus, each screen needs to be clicked on before the keyboard event handler picks up the keyboard, sorry, rooky mistake, i also couldn't iron out the restart bugs in time so it just ends and needs a manual restart. I know super lame

I would just note that fixed version are at http://www.grigorig.com/files/Twister2.swf http://www.grigorig.com/files/Twister2.html and http://www.grigorig.com/files/Twister2.src.zip
its amazing how quick things get fixed after a little sleep

I really like the music, but the game play was not what I would call deep.

is it possible to get more than ca 700 points? even if I stay against the right screen border the tornado runs me over :(

thanks for playing, yeah, you can't actually escape, so its not quite to the theme, i've had something like 1400 points though, but i have a responsive bouncy macbook keyboard, there's also nothing in the rules about not using both hands, which seems to yield better results, the points and speed are optimised when there's a key press -> key release -> other key press -> key release.

Um, the controls aren't what I would expect to move a car. Also, I couldn't escape...

The graphics are lovely in their simplicity.

I enjoyed how the car vanished when it turned sideways...
