I believe the problem comes from insufficient RAM. There are 3200x480 images used in the game. I tried it on 3 different computers, and the oldest one gave me the same error. I could chop the pieces to smaller ones and change the code, but I am siply too tired to do it now. Sorry for the inconvenience. It runs fine on my netbook with 2Gb of RAM.
A pretty interesting game! I really like the art style. I must admit, when I first started playing I was very frustrated because I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong and always got caught. The obstacles are much larger than they look and I would hit them even when I was some distance away (I didn't actually understand that I was hitting the obstacle). I enjoy the reversal at the end, it was an interesting twist!
This was a cute game. =]
I liked the twist when you finish running away, not going to spoil it here, but I literally laughed out loud.
I ran myself to death
I'm glad you all (or most of you) like my game. As for the collision issue, the game uses pixel perfect engine and all the obstacles have pixel perfect masks. However, I was afraid that the player character would get stuck because of automatic running, so I made its mask a circle. Thus it is not 100% accurate, but you're testing your luck if you run that close to an obstacle ;).
Same as SusanTheCat
hehe cool ending :) Very short though would of played more
I'm getting the error too. :(
Very funny ending! I like the simple idea with a twist! Congrats!
Simple and cute... well, except the thing that happens when one gets caught, that is.
I enjoyed the art style, it creates a nice dreamy atmosphere. I liked the ending, too.
Nice graphics. Gameplay was good but too short.
In your blog post you said you got the sounds from freesound.org, but you were supposed to create all assets yourself during the contest!
Oh my god, that was awesome... At first I was like "nooo, why they chase the little bunny" and then I was like o_O "omnomnomnomnom". Graphics are also lovely. This is now my theme+atmosphere favorite.
Excellent visuals and good audio background, but as a game... it's just extremely simple jumping for a while and then watching outro (which I thought is another part of the game and tried to do something for a while)
