I'm going to be honest with you: this awful. It's just whole bunch of boring, linear rooms without any gameplay at all. Your "game" would benefit a lot more from investing in something that's actually playable. I guess the theme interpretation was original, but in all frankness, this just isn't fun at all.

Sorry only 30 hours was spent on the gameplay, I won't sleep next time.

I agree you should have spent less time on room design and graphics and more time on gameplay. If it was half as long and only had one type of enemy, but that enemy pursued you or at least moved, or you had to collect keys or something, I could have rated you higher. I think the graphics and room design are really quite good, they just don't stand on their own. Congratulations on your first "real" game! :)
I dig the art and theming!
Without any branching paths or anything that you have to react to... it's just walking around, which isn't super interesting. Maybe if it was clearer that you were being timed, that'd do it? Replaying it going as fast as I can was definitely more interesting than the first playthrough! 53.741 seconds!

I echo others' comments that the gameplay is very lacking. The idea is good and somewhat funny :-)

Hardly any challenge, and the ending was unsatisfying. Just had to trek to any stairs, ignoring enemies as they ignored me.

Much better than the previous comments suggested. I enjoyed exploring, and the art was very good -- I liked the burning up failure. It's impressive you got that much done in c++ (instead of python/sdl/pygame). Also, it was very easy to run in linux.
