Quite nice animations, well done. I also liked the upgrades you receive. However the enemies keep wandering off making you run in search of them too much.

I really liked the fact that you can charge backwards ;)

Endurion - Thanks man, it was my first time doing any animation work, learned a lot. Right now the enemies just pick a point anywhere on the map and go to it, I think I'll need to make it a radius around the player the points are picked from.

Desmont - haha, that's something that should be fixed :)

Ouch, another one that demands my laptop produce better graphics. :(

What kind of video card do you have? Specifically memory size? I think the textures are pretty much all 2048x2048 due to running out of time to shrink them back down.

Really cool graphical style, unfortunately I can't play it (Linux).

Not sure why one of the links says "web" but is pointing to a zipfile.

Nice graphics and aesthetic, but the gameplay is pretty much just grinding for the next upgrade. Personally not a fan of games with a lot of repetition to fill up a meter like that. The audio intro was a nice touch, although on my system the camera kept swerving and looking in random directions.

gambitsunob 2011-05-09 16:58

Thanks for the feedback.
I changed the "web" to "installer" now. When I uploaded the entry at first I didn't realize I could change the link titles.
As for the camera, I'm still not sure why it was doing that. The lookat position for the camera wasn't interpolating correctly, even though it was using the same ratio as the camera position.

Wow, that's interesting. I like the blocky characters.

Now on to the bad stuff:
- Putting movement on WSAD and attack on LeftCtrl is not a good idea. Not at all.
- While the blocky chracters are unity, the rest of the terrains and the "blobs" are not (or do not look like the characters)
- That camera-swwop at the beginning was somewhat unecessary. And gave me motion sickness.

gambitsunob 2011-05-13 12:10

Thanks comments Matthias,
I agree the LeftCtrl for attacking, isn't good. But that was a last ditch effort, making the game able to be keyboard only. You can use the Mouse (Left click) or you can use and XBox 360 controller which is what it was designed for.
I did like how the blocky characters turned out, and I'd like to revisit the terrain to create the same theme for everything, just a time limitation thing.
I apologize for the motion sickness, not sure why the camera was doing that, it's supposed to be very fluent, and it definitely was not. Haven't figured out why yet.

Very, very impressive :)

Loved it, maybe not enough challenge, like ennemies chasing you or something.

But great entry for LD, congrats :)

Nice entry with cool visuals and animations - well done!

I couldn't figure out how to charge (no XBox here) and missed the message due to being in the middle of a fight :-/...

Hey, thanks for providing a video. Looks really great, and like everyone else has said this is an excellent result for 48 hours.
