Some weird iffy things like the instructions flying by, made me take a couple times through to start getting the idea (didn't know about rainbows at all until my second runthrough). Once I understood, it's a pretty cool game. The whole lemmings business is good, but it's sad that there's only one tool (for 48-hour reasons, I presume). I felt pretty clever when I finally figured out the last level, but it was also pretty darn annoying, since you have to keep waiting for the sheep to get close before you can build rainbows. I was going through this big process of moving forward a rear wall (to keep them from traveling too far each trip around) and gradually building up the stuff to advance their bridge a measly 2 spaces. Very time consuming, without adding anything to the game.

Bonus points for the level editor (much more full featured than certain other ones...). Good that it has all the menus and features and stuff, although "About This Game" doesn't appear to work. After trying out the level editor, I see that there are a bunch of other tools in there and working, too bad the included levels don't use those! I'm guessing level creation is where the time ran out on this one.

Good entry.

This is really an impressive entry, kind of lemmings like strategy with four levels (well.. level 2 doesn't really count..or the Mike level ;) ) and a map editor.

However, I have two beefs that really affected gameplay, fun and overall for me:

1: when shooting a missle right next to a tile the collision detection doesn't work. I almost quit on level 2 because I kept firing missles too close and thought the block couldn't be destroyed. Made the game much harder.

2: There is a one second pause enforced between building 'rainbow' blocks. This does force me to use some strategy but the way level 4 is designed this would be so much more fun without the delay, otherwise I just don't have the patience, takes too long.

Very good graphical look and gravity physics, reminds me of Ultimate Wizard on the C64.

Good ...
* Good real-time puzzle game.
* The four tiles construction rainbow thingy adds to gameplay.
* Control is simple, and easy but does the job. (intuitive)
* Fourth/last level is very challenging. (The trick is to build a wall 3 tiles back so the sheep does not walk all the way to the end - I tot that adds to the game play.)

Improvement ...

* I would like to see what my goal is. (ie how many sheep do I need to enter the door.)
* The missile can not be shoot 1 tile away is kinda annoying.

I didn't rate gameplay because I couldn't play it past level 3 or 4 (the one in the screenshot)... My sheep only had missiles... Maybe I'm dumb, maybe my computer is screwed, but everyone else seem to get along fine, so I'm rating the game a bit on what I expect it would be if I could play it...

This was fun and it's amazing that you were able to build a level editor and get the game done in 48 hours. A couple of annoying bugs lowered the technical score. I was not able to shoot right next to a brick and destroy it, and it was possible to shoot my way out of the level and into never never land. Sometimes when shooting (on level four), the bricks wouldn't disappear, even though the sheep could walk through them. Wish the second level wasn't basically a repeat of the first.

I really like this idea, but the game is a bit frustrating. First there is 4(?) very easy levels, then there is a very hard, which i did not beat :(

This could be great but right now, Living Sheep is fun for a bit but mostly frustrating and empty. First, the faulty collision detection, between missiles a blocks when a sheep is right next to the block and between missiles and sheep (I once killed the sheep that shot the rocket with the same rocket). Next, being able to kill your own sheep is annoying and should probably be removed. Last, make more levels; it only has one "real" map now (the first two are essentially the same destroy-one-block things and the third is a just sheep that goes into the exit). With this, Living Sheep would be great.

Well, this is the pot calling the kettle black, but maybe spent less time on the title screen and level editor (use notepad) and more time on the gameplay. It was a cool, if rather surreal, puzzle game but pretty confusing. It seemed to run a little fast, too.
