Discoverometer!

Very well done but can get monotonous, if not impossible (eventually took me 4000 of my fuel just to get to a mining site and back).

Ok, I just played that way longer than I was expecting to! Perfect example of how a simple, but addictive mechanic trumps fancy visuals. Great use of the theme.

I eventually decided that it was a waste of fuel to try to get back to the base, and just used the towing service.

Being able to spend a chunk of $$ to set up a remote base would be nice.

Good job!

I love it!! Great work!

Fantastic! I managed to finish it on my first playthrough. After a while I was just exploring as far as I could in a certain direction hoping I'd have enough to tow myself back. I hit a plateau around $9000 and it took quite a while to get that last $1000...

Most interesting experience in the game was trying to judge whether or not I'd be able to make the return trip, or whether it was worth it to keep exploring an hope to find something else. If it were up to me, I'd remove towing from the game entirely and just have the game end if the player can't make it home... Also might be worth thinking of additional drop points around the map!

Anyway, really liked this one.

A quite fun game, though as you noted it needs some value tweaking; nonetheless, it kept me entertained for quite a while. Also, despite the roguelike interface, you managed to make it 'look nice', with excellent use of color and a good eye for UI; the dialog boxes and the 'treasure-detector' were very nice. With some tweaks. it would be even awesomer. My suggestion? Either allow upgrades (purchase larger fuel tanks and vision radius, etc, or allow the player to carry and deposit fuel stockpiles around the map for later use, or both.

Yay, I won!
Not bad. At first I always tried to return but for the later areas you have to go as far as possible and get towed back.
Quite nice!

This was charming and fun at first, but got a little monotonous when I had to travel a long way away from the base. Being able to buy upgrades (e.g. a bigger fuel tank, a better scanner) might have helped.

Overall though I enjoyed it and played for far longer than I expected.

Wow this was pretty fanastic. There was a lot of the "just one more trip and then I'll stop playing". I didn't realize that there was a towing service, so at first I was trekking back to the drop every time and it was REALLY tedious, even with the tow it's pretty tedious. Perhaps if you could buy other drop sites or something.

Still, insanely fun and I love the discoverometer mechanic. Very addictive and fun. Also great terrain generation, the maps were really good. Nice work.
