Whoosh, I finally submitted my game. It's actually a pretty small game, but I think there will be some people having fun with it.
Did not post here anything earlier, came pretty late to Ludum Dare. Late in the way that I did not made any real thoughts on it before saturday because I actually did not want to attend.
I did not really measure the time I have been working on the game, but I think it's something like 10 to 12 hours.
Enjoy it!

Fun little distraction.

I liked the concept you had, and I wish it was maybe a bit more fleshed out? I guess that's just because you only had like 10-12 hours to work on it. But it worked well regardless, though dying was funny as I could still shoot but couldn't figure out what else to do besides click the X on the window.
I wasn't very good at it, though that's just me being horrible at certain things. :)

I liked the dirt physics, but somehow this doesn't feel finishied.
I died early on and didn't realize it, which left me very confused until I restarted.

An interesting idea. It was a bit difficult to shoot "enemies" and was hard to get very far without dying. There needs to be a goal or something to keep the player interested because otherwise it gets boring quickly.
Physics could use work, jumping is really odd and moving around is a bit finicky. I like the idea of using dead enemies to progress tough.

Nice idea, but with the current handling of the hero (weird jump, jerkiness...) and complete absence of goal, it's pretty hard to have fun with this.

It's an interesting idea but the implementation is rather too flawed to be fun for me.
It'd be better if the mounds arranged themselves more evenly. They tend to be tall and narrow, which is difficult to climb.
It'd also help if the default direction of fire wasn't downwards. It'd be more helpful to fire in the direction the player was last moving, and require the player to hold the down arrow to fire downwards. The current behaviour is particularly unhelpful because firing downwards destroys your progress.

Hey and thanks everyone for your critics.
Well yes, this game is some kind of prototype, and I apologize for all your inconvenience.
I'm anyway happy that most of you seem to like the idea of the game and would like to do a rewrite of the game with nicer graphics and better handling. Time will tell.
Greets,
Mik
