increpare

I fell out of one of the screens - going up the gap at hte start, then falling off. And I couldn't restart, and I don't want to play through what I did again right now (but I might later on).

Once I got used to the controls, it felt pretty good to hop around.

Daz

Ha! I found that same hole that increpare did. I thought it was going to lead to a secret area -- turns out it wasn't planned.

Anywho, I thought the game was overly heavy on dialog with little action (even leading to the dialog).

Diet Chugg

Lots of Dialog but I like how it doesn't force you to stop and listen. Also you can get stuck on the gold that is supposed to disappear. Not sure how I did that but I did.

kay.... I seem to have come up with a quick system of reviewing things, inspired by spaghetti westerns.
The good - The soundtrack was rather nice, super minimalist, but it worked really well with the game. The Graphics where kind of the same way. Minimalist, and not astounding, but they worked (almost) perfectly.
The Bad - Controls where almost to responsive. I had to re do so many jumps just because I moved ever so slightly to fast, or wall jumped slightly to high or low. It got kinda aggravating.
The Ugly - so umm... your trails where backwards. Why?

All in all, it was pretty good, although slightly heavy handed. I couldnt decide if I liked the narration, or hated it, honestly. Good message to the game overall, but the heavy handed presentation detracted from it. I also thought you where going for the copout that he was dead and the island was purgatory, so Im glad you shied away from that option (as it would have basically been the final straw and tipped me into hating the dialogue.)

Hempuli

The movement was a bit too quick for my reflexes. Definitely a solid engine otherwise!

I think the game was too fast. I don't mean story-wise, that went by too quickly. Maybe I just don't play enough platform games, but the only way I succeeded in the jumps was repetition. If the movement had been much slower, it would be that much more playable.

I'm not sure I got the whole storyline, because the game moved too fast. Because of the fast character movement, I think I missed a few dialog boxes. With a slower character, I think the game could be much better in this respect.

Endurion

Polished entry. Plays fine, if a tad too fast. The wall jump is good to control.
The end is somewhat abrupt.

Dzarg

I liked the walljumping but as others have said, it was a bit too fast. Still a good game.

philomory

"Contemners impose judgment to divide their prey from the pack." Seems somewhat appropriate.

An interesting game, though the controls are entirely hyperactive. Slowing movement down would have helped a lot. Loading saved games was a bit buggy as well. Other than that, quite a lot of fun to play.

Also, I agree with some of the other reviewers that the story was heavy-handed, but I disagree that that's a bad thing. Sometimes, for some games, that's exactly what you need, and this is one of those games.

drakfyre

WOW. Beautiful. Only played through level 3 though, got stuck in a wall, will continue later though!

SonnyBone

Whoa, this moves SUPER FAST. A little too fast, IMO. I dig the vibe, though.
