| Oct 19 18:12:43 | Prayday | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed this! The game mechanics were clever and quite fun and interesting. I liked how some tiles affected the ones around them. If anything, it felt like I would have liked to keep playing when the game ended. I tried it both on normal and hard mode but couldn't really spot the difference. I guess the score targets were higher on the hard setting? It would have been cool with an "endless" mode, where you would get a random tile each turn. I think it could turn into quite a fun puzzle. Anyway, good game! Easy to understand and fun to play. Here's a little piece of fan art for you :) Screenshot 2026-10-19 201217.png | |
| Oct 19 19:16:29 | 1h 03m | You... Bastet | ♥ 1 | Great stuff! I had a lot of fun with this game! The graphics are great, lovely colors and shading. The gameplay was quite difficult, and a bit frustrating at times. But I got the feeling that was intended. It really sucked me in. I played for about forty five minutes, died close to three hundred times and got all the gems. I spent some time searching for where to go next before I checked the itch description again. The top of the pyramid! Almost at the top, I fell down into a pit it was very difficult to get out of. I just wanted to hit some spikes and restart at the obelisk I had touched near the top, not the one close to the pit and have to do the whole climb again. In desperation, I tried some keys on the keyboard. Maybe there was a key for resetting at the last checkpoint? Maybe R? Big mistake. R seems to reset the game? 😆 Too bad, I would really have liked to see the end. I got a screenshot earlier in the run, back when I hadn't even died 200 times :P Screenshot 2026-10-19 204930.png Really fun and well made game. The level design was great! Here's a little piece of fan art of the lovely protagonist :) Screenshot 2026-10-19 210754.png |

The title cards was such a great take on the theme. And it worked really well as a mechanic. Some of the puzzles, like the captcha, were just hilarious. It must have been so much work making all that content, but the end result was great. The whole game was smooth to play and very well paced. Beautifully drawn backgrounds! I'm glad you managed to participate, this is incredible work in 14 hours! 😆 It feels like you did the best of the time pressure and made some clever choices, both in the presentation and the gameplay. It's minimal but designed to be that way. Lovely intro cutscene and fun push-your-luck mechanics. It felt so good when I succeeded with a 60% one and got rich. Screenshot 2026-10-20 221554.png |

The setting was evocative and there was a feeling of magic. It feels like you're improving a lot on the technical aspect of your games with each one you make. This one felt very polished, and there were many different gameplay elements. Having multiple options for the herbs was very cool and I enjoyed replaying the game to see the different endings. I found it clever how you used those glimpses into the future to tell the story of the characters, and let the player imagine the rest. I had never heard of blue tea before, now I'm curious to try some! The audio was great, I was impressed with how you did the male voice, I'm curious what kind of audio processing you used to achieve that! And I loved the voices of the animals, especially the second one. So good XD The art was beautiful and the mixed media aspect of the game stood out. The drawings were really pretty, and so was the pixel art. The part when the collision geometry of the spell path becomes a colorful pattern was great, that's such a creative idea and it looked great. I felt very inspired by the use of hand drawn images so I had to draw a little watercolor picture of my favorite ending img.jpg Edit: Thank you for hearting this comment, but unfortunately there seems to be a [bug(/feature?)](https://github.com/JamBrain/JamBrain/pull/2267) on the ldjam page that will downrank the game for each heart that's not from the game author, so please refrain from pressing the heart on comments that are not from the author on other peoples games. Feels weird, but that's the way it's implemented apparently. |
