| Oct 9 20:31:21 | Fastigrades | ♥ 1 | It was way harder than I expected to reach outer space but I did manage to meet UFOs ! I like the funny atmosphere coming from the game, the fanfare when I launch into the air and the funny environment storytelling in front of the canon made me smile. Too bad the music doesn't loop in the web build because it's a great fit to the game. Well done :) | |
| Oct 9 20:48:21 | 17m 00s | DeskBuddy | ♥ 1 | Love the vibe of this game !! Sadly I launched this game as the last one of the evening. Little did I knew I could have had Finn playing games with me all night long :/ It's a really nice idea and being able to customize your buddy is super cool. The only "downsides" I could see is that I couldn't resize the game, so on my 2K screen, the font is actually quite small. And at the beggining of the game, lots of notification would come up and prevent me from reading all the funny lines you wrote for the unlocks. It's a really cool game, great job everyone ! |
| Oct 10 19:54:00 | 23h 05m | Tiny Survival Tactics(Puzzle) | ♥ 2 | I spent quite some time on the game although I did not finish it. I stopped after the first level you get a 1x1 shrimp. It was interesting to see how a concept fairly familiar could still be turned into an innovative idea. And then you added some twists again (loved seeing the first 2x2 creature), well done ! Gameplay wise I wished there was an undo button as I was so frustrating on the more complex level. Even more so because my tired brain couldn't remember that, shrimps eat fish and fishes eat crabs so I made some stupid mistakes multiple times. And I'm quite surprised I could squeeze the 2x2 creatures through the top exit, but not the horizontal 2X1, is this a bug ? I did struggle to make the game understand the final move to the exit, I had to pretty much always do it multiple times before the game registered the move. I did enjoy the soothing music and liked a lot the designs of the different animals ! All in all great job. |
| Oct 10 20:07:43 | 13m 43s | Green Shell | ♥ 3 | The curscenes you got there were very good and it's not something we often see in ludum entry so it's really appreciated. Regarding the game I got fairly confused by the controls and although I managed to break multiple times out of the aquarium it was a bit tedious each time. The turtle would frequently end up in a static state and I couldn't make it move no matter what I did. Maybe I missed something obvious ? Some respawn at the beggining of the sequence would have been great as I was quite sad to start all over again when I fell from the bookshelf. You got a really nice 3D art and the little audio and achievements you implemented were a nice touch ! Good job and congrats on your first ludum entry ✨️ |
| Oct 10 20:49:45 | 42m 02s | Eat the Moon | ♥ 1 | I'm amazed that such a complex game could be managed in 72 by 2 people, congrats ! Although it was a bit hard to understand everything at first (lots of text to read) It did hook me until I could sent my little mouse society to space, yay ! Too bad it wasn't cheese though. I felt that at some times the balancing was a bit off. Like at the beggining of level 2 were my supply of cheese would dramatically drop because of the sheer quantity of mice I had. And so I had to wait for some of them to do in order to produce enough cheese to buy a factory. The writing made me smile and there's a good sense of progression in the game although it could be a little bit faster at some points. All in all it's really a great job ! |
| Oct 10 20:56:33 | 6m 48s | Tiny Sanctuary | ♥ 1 | For some reason I can't rate this game but I discovered that after playing so here's my feedback anyway :) Never tought I could get this invested in feeding colored cubes. At first I though they were immortals but then I discovered the ominous red cross. Sorry little cubes I won't be able to save your from the cross forever, but it was nice while it lasted :D On a more technical note. I like what you did with the animation of the cubes, they do feel like some blobs alive, well done ! |
| Oct 10 21:11:06 | 14m 33s | Flemington Life | ♥ 1 | I would love to play a little bit more but sadly it's way too hard for now, worms keep swarming the town and destroying the city while my flemingtons are more concerned about picking up materials :'( I like the art and the sound effetcs. Hiding the tutorial at the top of the map is a smart idea. I would have liked to dezoom the camera and pan a little bit faster. Also a way to cancel building in construction would be nice as sometimes I clicked by mistake. A simulation game like that is always something quite complex and it's impressive what you could manage to do on your own, congrats ! |
| Oct 10 21:21:06 | 10m 00s | Snail away | ♥ 1 | Wow, this is like super cool ! Never thought a game about snails could be this fun ! Love the way the game plays. The blend of platforming and tactics to position the snail correctly before droping onto a mushroom and soaring into the air. Everything feels pretty intuitive (except maybe the webs, looks like sometimes they stop the snails and other times they don't ?) Love the art, love the music. Love the way you tied the credits into the game and even the little ladybug counter. Everything feels super polished, rien à redire, franchement bravo !! |
| Oct 10 21:34:33 | 13m 27s | Tiny Terrarium | ♥ 1 | Very relaxing entry. Would have love more intuitive controls for the camera and a zqsd binding for manipulating the objects, but it did not prevent me from having a wonderful time with you game. I really liked composing a terrarium. Congrats ! |
| Oct 10 21:41:14 | 6m 41s | Night Critter | ♥ 2 | Wow ! Love what you did here ! It feels like a really nice blend of snake and a memory game. It's super polished, the graphics are really vibrant even though they are black and white and the music is really super cool. Really I don't have much to say. It's impressive work, congratulations ! |
| Oct 13 21:45:58 | 72h 04m | Head'quarters | ♥ 1 | Saw one of your posts at the end of the jam and finally took the time to test your game. I was expecting a game about deciphering an alphabet and was surprised to find something else entirely. But then read the comments and discovered I can actually crack the alphabet 😄 Gameplay wise it was fun but got quite repetitive after a while. Also, I would have liked to see my score at the end of the game. Regardless, even though I felt I had seen all the game had to offer, I felt pressed on to continue till the end. I think the visuals and the music/design you have here are the main reason why. They are AMAZING ! From the UI to the animations of the little guys, from the subtle sound effects, to the enthralling music, everything feels so ... special ! I would defenitely love to see more of this universe. This really is great work, congrats ! |
| Oct 13 21:59:27 | 13m 29s | Tiny Rat Cafe | ♥ 1 | I had the hardest time of my life cooking an egg and filling a glass of water, but I may have been the funniest way I've done that ! I feel like some recipes are really hard to understand (i did not find how to brew tea) and once i have an item selected it's really hard to navigate the level. But it sure was a lot of fun ! And I figure rats trying to cook some eggs would have a hard time too 😄 Good job everyone et bon appétit ! Edit : wait apparently there's a binding to display the recipes ! But it doesn't seem to work in the web version. |
