| Apr 8 21:15:30 | IceCream So Cool | ♥ 0 | Submitting a game is always a reason to be proud of oneself :) So congrats on that ! I only managed to get to the second layer (the blue one) and I'm not sure what the layers represent ? Is it ice cream that fell on the floor ? I liked having the snails clicking for me and would have liked that they stayed infinitely. Picking up objects on the floor quickly became tedious but maybe there's an upgrade I missed that retrieves them for me ? Good job ! | |
| Apr 8 21:31:03 | 15m 33s | Abyssal Mayhem | ♥ 2 | 6012 \o/ I liked very much the pixel art and the juiciness of it, screenshakes, sounds effects and little animations. Destroying the floor with your attack is at the same time very satisfying and a bit frustrating because in combat I have a hard time killing enemies without falling through the floor. It's not always clear what you can buy from shops and I did not find the fireball. Good job :) |
| Apr 9 16:09:44 | 18h 38m | Mine Digger | ♥ 4 | I liked your game and spent quite a bit of time on it! I would have enjoyed more challenge because it all felt too easy. But the game loop and digging was satisfaying enough to keep me hooked and try to buy the costlier upgrades (even though I didn't managed to use the flag. Looks like it didn't work ?). I was a bit puzzled by the rock that you can't mine with your drill. I did figure to use the TNT on them but only after quite some time and I'm not sure if the TNT gets you the exploded ore ? (BTW there was a minor bug where the numbers wouldn't refresh correctly when using the TNT. And I'm not sure if the scanner is bugged or not but I couldn't quite figure what to make out of the numbers.) Like the person above I found the digging SFX to quickly become annoying but I found the music really nice and well done. Overall well done :) |
| Apr 9 16:19:26 | 9m 42s | Pioneers | ♥ 1 | Oh boy, I feel like this was just a tiny bit away from keeping me hooked a long time. However the difficulty felt too punished and quickly frustrated me. But I think that with less punishing collisions and maybe larger area of attraction around rock, I could have enjoyed this a lot. I love the simple but efficient art style, love the music, love the UI (it doesn't often get the loves it deserves during a jam) love the gravity mechanic. I just wish the game would be less punishing. Overall great job ! |
| Apr 9 16:32:05 | 12m 39s | Clambell's Great Escape | ♥ 2 | Really nice level design. Specifically I like the way save points are "explained" without the need for text. The art was nice and specifically the animations of the boss were gorgeous. The whole staging for the boss is actually really well done, congrats ! Not sure if I missed something but looks like the sound effects and the music weren't done by you so I'd suggest opting out of the audio category. Overall great job ! |
| Apr 9 16:43:14 | 11m 09s | Webbed In The Depth | ♥ 3 | The game really felt super difficult. The spike flying upward at the beggining of the game really killed me a lot of time. And the controls are not super clear. It took me a moment to understand that I could jump more than once and I still haven't figured out what I can do with the web ? But still, when I could move after the flying spike I did enjoy the game ! Good job :) |
| Apr 9 16:58:33 | 15m 19s | Depthshift | ♥ 2 | I found the mechanic really innovative and intriguing. Sadly maybe the depth of field is a bit too shallow here and it was quite uncomfortable to look a the game for a long time. I also struggled to understand what happens after I opened the coded door of Level 1, seems like I fell but I don't clearly understand what happens. Overall I feel this is really interesting and a nice feat of graphic programming but I would suggest finding a way to make it less straining on the eyes. Congrats ! |
| Apr 9 17:12:23 | 13m 50s | Holy Moly! | ♥ 2 | Really realy well done art & animations, congrats. Altough sadly I did find the game hard to play. The control scheme with the X was quite uncomfortable and I couldn't managed to use the mouse to attack and dig (I played on itch). Maybe some kind of animation cue when a farmer was about to shot would have been helpful because currently I feel like i just have to rely on luck not to get shot. Ah and I almost forget but great work on the audio too ! Bien jouĂ©, toujours impressionant de voir ce qu'une seule personne peut faire en compo ! :) |
