Apr 16 21:17:33 Bail Out! ♥ 1 Interesting take on the theme, it took me a few tries but I barely made it with 2 seconds left and an extra $10! Just nitpicking but the camera doesn't seem to be centered and made it risky to move in the top/left direction. If you continue working on this it would also be great to have the camera look ahead when on the skateboard. The graphics are nice and work well with the low resolution, I also find it very cool that the whole source fits in an image!
Apr 16 21:58:18 40m 45s Dungeon of the Bone Summoner ♥ 1 It was fun figuring out a strategy in the early stage. It took me a couple tries to understand the mechanics but after getting enough skellies it became a bit too easy (or maybe I didn't wait long enough, I stopped after reaching ~200 slimes).
Apr 17 00:25:44 2h 27m bergs ♥ 2 Great game, the graphics are cute and the sound effects are hilarious! I liked the level design, my only complaint is that failing the level by going too far left or right feels a bit too punishing and unexpected (though falling down the pit makes sense). Congrats on your first Ludum Dare :)
Apr 17 01:49:30 1h 23m Skelemancy ♥ 1 The art and animations are very polished, I just wished there were more levels. Congrats on your first game jam!
Apr 17 04:36:05 2h 46m Circle Tracer Cookie Defense ♥ 2 I like this idea, it feels very responsive and the sound effects are great! I wouldn't really mind having more challenge in the form of enemies that can break your line as long as they are clearly visible and have a predictable trajectory. I found the tutorial to be a bit misleading since you can still clear it after eating the round face, only later I realized I was supposed to keep them alive. Also it would be great to have a game over screen that shows your final score, I think I managed to get more than 20 points but it was pretty hectic and I couldn't keep my eyes on the counter.
Apr 17 07:37:55 3h 01m Wonder Whistle ♥ 1 Simple idea with a great execution, I had a lot of fun solving the levels and the corner bump was very cool! The visuals feel polished and the audio fits perfectly. I don't have much to say other than I wanted more at the end :)
Apr 19 23:27:42 63h 49m Circle of Life ♥ 5 That's a very cool summoning mechanic! I felt like I was choosing gems a bit randomly and it didn't help that it takes a while for your latest creatures to show up since the beginning is quite easy. Then it suddenly got really hard so I didn't feel like my best creatures were actually that strong. Anyway the game is well polished for a jam entry, the visuals look great and this mechanic has a lot of potential with a better difficulty curve. Good job!
Apr 20 01:24:16 1h 56m Ritual ♥ 2 I think this is the first time I see this kind of game for Ludum Dare, very cool! I like how you reused the symbols in the wire-cutting task, and having to look at the window also adds a lot to the atmosphere. Just nitpicking but I thought the font for some of the in-game text (the timer, grimoire input) didn't really fit. Anyways I had fun despite playing it alone, great work!
Apr 22 22:53:09 69h 28m Unpacking Armageddon ♥ 1 I enjoyed this arcade take on Sokoban, I had fun and just wish there was more to it!
Apr 22 23:25:55 32m 46s LD55 - Hell Binder ♥ 1 Interesting use of the theme and I loved the creepy trap sound effect! I wish the game was a bit longer though, as you said in the ending scene there is a lot of potential for more enemies and unlocks.
Apr 23 00:37:31 1h 11m Ballad of Lead Shroud ♥ 2 Interesting story, I liked the creepy atmosphere and the environment looked great. Just nitpicking but the way letters appear one by one made some words warp to the next line and would break my reading flow a bit. Congrats on your first LD!
Apr 23 00:56:50 19m 19s Raccoon Tycoon ♥ 0 That's an interesting puzzle idea! As others have said, I think having to complete multiple screens in a row with a set number of donuts could have been communicated better. Maybe you could instead make it a single large screen and replace intermediate goals with collectibles. Or if you want to keep the multi-screen approach I think it would be clearer if it had multiple levels with the first one being just one screen. Anyways the story is hilarious and I had fun, good job!
Apr 23 01:27:33 30m 43s ⸸ INVERSIO NEGOTIUM ⸸ ♥ 3 Really cool bullet hell, kept me playing for a while! I like the variety in spells and bullet patterns, I had a lot of fun trying to complete the most complicated spells though the last boss took me a couple tries to beat. My only complaint is that the screen shake was a bit too strong, especially after casting a spell when you still have to dodge bullets. I also didn't realize you could go through the boss without taking damage. Other than that the mood was great, congrats!
Apr 23 02:27:14 59m 41s The Basis of All Creations ♥ 1 I like this kind of experimental games! It was fun figuring things out though it took me a while to realize I couldn't get the rest of the ingredients from clicking around. I had to use hints for some of the recipes and I still don't understand the one for the ghost. I also accidentally spoiled myself some of the creature names from the debug traces. Now I wonder what happens when you use a whole human at the end...
Apr 23 05:28:23 3h 01m Good Night! Sleep with the Demon! ♥ 1 Cute little game! As others have said, more feedback around the hit/miss window would be great. I could see this being expanded with more levels, maybe decoy sheep or sheep that turn around. Good job :)
