| Oct 2 21:46:13 | textures_failed_to_load | ♥ 1 | Genius interpretation of the theme. The untextured states were well done; the switch block's 0 and 1 states were distinct enough that I could still use them before I got their textures, but the enemies looked similar enough that I didn't know which blobs were going to shoot at me and which ones were only dangerous up close. Every texture load managed to be delightfully jarring; "oh *that's* what that thing looks like, I was imagining something completely different". | |
| Oct 2 22:21:38 | 35m 25s | Blockhead | ♥ 1 | Turns out Tetris is really fun with platformer mechanics. TIL. Physics was buggy (but entirely playable); I ended up halfway inside the floor a few times and I'm pretty sure some blocks were overlapping each other at some point. It also feels weird to be able to pull a block out of the bottom of the stack and leave the rest floating there, but I think that's less of a bug and more just the way things work in Tetris. https://static.ldjam.com/raw/b15/15/z/5e4aa.png |
| Oct 2 23:23:27 | 1h 01m | Grid Island | ♥ 1 | 3750 Impeccable relaxing puzzle game vibes. The water. The other islands off in the distance. The buildings. The building icons in the menu didn't match the feel of the rest of the game, but the buildings themselves were excellent. There were multiple versions of each type! One of my factories was a *windmill*. |
