Apr 4 13:33:19 Arkbomb: Pinballrkanoid ♥ 3 Fun: The mechanics feel great when you get good shot. Sometimes was a bit hard to control and took a few attempts to secure a spot on the leaderboard. Innovation: I've not seen this mechanic combination before and I really like the idea! Theme: There was some link to the theme with the inevitable game over but overall I felt like the game didn't worry too much about the theme. Graphics: Absolutely amazing! Great set of colours, everything fits together, well done! Mood: Had some great arcade hall feeling while playing the game. The music helped a lot with it too. Overall: A very much enjoyable entry! Thanks for that :)
Apr 4 14:00:18 26m 59s TARA ♥ 1 Simple but solid and fun gameplay loop. Definitely enjoyed it. As others mentioned before, the bomb upgrade can quickly end a run. For the humor rating: There's a butt upgrade. What's more to say here? ;)
Apr 4 14:21:30 21m 12s Slime Survivor ♥ 1 This was a lot of fun to play, thanks for that! Many different effects that actually changed with upgrade levels (the lightning was impressive!). Though I must say, without the aura upgrade, I wasn't able to survive the first charge of enemies. I would definitely play a longer version :)
Apr 4 14:38:47 17m 17s You shall not pass ♥ 1 The puzzle were quite smart for a 24 hours solo game! The spikes were a bit frustrating and (with more time) could probably have been integrated better. The sound effects were hilarious. On the spike level it was a bit bothering though to get interrupted again every time you died. Had a good time with the game overall. Took me a little less than 10 minutes to finish.
Apr 5 07:29:25 16h 50m Human Resource ♥ 3 Congratulations on finishing the game (especially to all the new game devs in your team) ❤️ The relaxed mood of the game was great! I usually struggle to rate mood in game jam games because most don't have any particular. But this is one of the rare entries that really gets you in a certain mood. The combination of aesthetics and music simply felt good. Good job! Barely managed to survive the shift but I did! ;)
Apr 5 07:39:47 10m 22s PlanetDefender ♥ 1 Awesome soundtrack! 🎵
Apr 5 07:53:03 13m 16s Malpractice ♥ 6 This was good fun! Great humour and nice ideas for all the minigames. The electric wheel was a bit hard to understand because everything else was click to start the game while this one was hold and drag (in a small hitbox). I also did not understand when the killer comes into the door compared to the doctor. Only had him once so couldn't find a pattern of how to avoid him. Definitely a great implementation of the theme!
Apr 5 08:24:33 31m 30s Choboro ♥ 2 Wow, this entry feels way too polished and juiced for a jam game - good job! 😄 Was great fun to play as well. My only nit-pick is the choice of keys for the "gut flaps". On a German keyboard (y/z have switched position), the z and x combination was a bit awkward to reach with one hand (which is a classic issue in pinball games). Unity's input system has an option to assign keys based on their position on the US layout. That way it would work independent of the users actual keyboard layout.
Apr 5 08:45:30 20m 57s Losing Your Sheet ♥ 1 This is such a beautiful entry! The controls were a bit hard to understand at first but figuring them out was satisfying. The animations and sound effects are awesome! Managed to get to 120.10 on the third attempt when I finally lost my sheet.
Apr 5 09:09:24 23m 54s No Match ♥ 1 Well polished with nice music. Was very relaxing to play. And the card design was great!
Apr 5 09:23:18 13m 54s Faces of the Beast ♥ 2 This is an interesting concept! The art was pretty cool! Not sure if it's my "face blindness" or just me being bad, but I only got to 17 after a few attempts 😆
Apr 5 09:33:18 10m 00s Distract The Cat ♥ 1 Congrats on finishing your first LD submission! The game is very pleasing visually. The cat is a cute little bastard 😆 Also well done on including music for your entry! That's a tough one for compo projects.
Apr 5 09:58:25 25m 07s We Need To Talk ♥ 3 Just wow! Incredibly polished, slick graphics, awesome soundtrack and a very cute take on the theme. Everything fits so well together. Also I really enjoyed the game mechanic. The control was simple and worked well. The interaction with the speech bubble was clear and effective. Also, losing in a game never felt this great before ❤️ Definitely my favourite entry so far!
Apr 5 10:44:49 46m 24s Aloft ♥ 3 The controls were really cool but also very hard to understand. Especially when the balloon starts rotating, it's so hard to wrap one's head around getting it back under control. Very interesting concept!
Apr 5 10:59:56 15m 07s Pier Pressure ♥ 2 Upgrade system, yeay! The art style way very pleasing. The gameplay loop was simple but smooth. Got up to 45 before I got all the upgrades and stopped. The music was a nice touch too. Good job!
Apr 5 11:46:35 46m 39s Cup Half Full ♥ 1 This is a fun take on tetris and I really liked the visuals of it. The controls were a bit frustrating sometimes when you spend a minute trying to get a single brick into place and it just does not want to fit in. Maybe a little bit more space (horizontally) could have fitting in bricks that just don't want to rotate correctly.
Apr 5 12:48:04 1h 01m Elder Rang ♥ 1 Ironically, keeping my stress levels low kept stressing me out to not miss any of the great dialogue 😜 Loved the idea and the cheesy title.
Apr 6 21:00:50 32h 12m Riverlands ♥ 1 Always nice to see building/sim games in LD :) The game has a nice relaxed feeling (the music fits perfectly). Managed to get to 100 population before a river decided to spawn directly next to the city centre (either that or the dam I enclosed it in failed) 😄
Apr 6 21:10:52 10m 02s PsyDog ♥ 1 I liked the idea and the doggo is very cute! Would be nice to have some enemies appear to protect the family from 🙂
Apr 6 21:23:04 12m 12s I hate ants. ♥ 1 I feel quite bad for smashing all those poor ants instead of just moving the cake somewhere safe 😄 The game was fun (even if I feel bad for it) and impressive for a compo entry. The ambient sounds were nice and helped the picnic experience a lot. Got to 750 points before those buggers got the cake. It felt like the game performance slowed down a bit once a lot of ants were scuttling around. Also at some point, some normal ants (not the big ones) ignored the traps I placed. Do they have a maximum number of ants they can catch?
Apr 6 21:24:12 1m 08s Lycoris ♥ 2 Leaving a comment to get notified when the link is fixed 🙂
Apr 6 21:32:56 8m 44s Love, wings & flamethrowers ♥ 1 That's some very neat idea! Really liked the carrying mechanic of the flying wife. The ending was quite surprising. Good job on actually including some story in just 48 hours!
Apr 7 07:46:22 10h 13m Mow Bot ♥ 1 A classic game mechanic in a cute lawn mower coat. It's one of my favourite puzzle mechanic in other games and it's nice seeing a full compo game dedicated to it! The pixel art was perfectly fitting with the rest of the game. The audio was nice to listen to as well. Had lots of fun figuring out the best paths. The hardest one for me was the fourth level. Took me a while to get a (the?) solution.
Apr 7 08:15:32 29m 10s Lovers Defence ♥ 2 The art style is amazing, really loved it. Good job on building a story into the game! Just as everyone else said, some info on what a tower does and how much it costs would be nice. Even just in the game description would help a lot. Otherwise I'd be looking forward to a full version of the game :)
