| Oct 6 23:38:52 | Ultra Quest | ♥ 1 | Really great game, the amount of polish is insane. Graphics and music are fabulous, however the gameplay is very simplistic, and, as you know, it is *very* short. I noticed a few bugs, for example dying on the queen fight softlocks you, and the rocks freeze midair when throwing them. Other than that though, it was a blast. Keep it up! | |
| Oct 6 23:56:28 | 17m 36s | Welcome to Nowhere | ♥ 1 | The first words out of my mouth when I beat this were "I don't know what I just played." And that's a compliment! It was super unique and fun, with the "music" and sound effects done with that style alongside the tube worm-ish enemies and other things. Admittedly, it's not the most technically impressive game, but it was a blast to play through. Keep it up! |
| Oct 7 00:12:27 | 15m 59s | Universe Inc. | ♥ 1 | I can definitely tell most of the time went into presentation, there really wasn't anything in the way of challenge, and actually it was pretty laggy on my end. But if you get better at managing your time and balance your load between gameplay and visuals, it could turn out very good next time. |
| Oct 7 00:54:25 | 41m 58s | Bartered | ♥ 2 | I enjoyed this game a lot, it definitely grew on me as I continued playing it. Pros: - Highly polished for a compo entry - Graphics have a consistent, unique, and good style - Surprisingly complex gameplay Cons: - Got stuck a few times with untradeable items - Walking speed was painfully slow - Audio would really help this game, just something ambient to let you chill out All in all, a super solid entry, and I think you could do very well! |
| Oct 7 01:07:21 | 12m 56s | Ludum Dare 45: v0.0.1 (Working Title) | ♥ 0 | This was an interesting concept for a game, but in all honesty it wasn't executed that great. Yes, it's 5 games. No, they aren't complex or remotely interesting games. But it's a solid entry, and with some more polish and a better idea, you could be very good. |
| Oct 12 23:30:27 | 142h 23m | New Project | ♥ 1 | Before I start: I hope I don't come off as too harsh, it's because I really love the concept here and want to see it improved upon. This game was truly just not fun to play through. It was rather tight platforming, and the absurdly slippery controls made it a pain to do even the most simple segments. I couldn't make it past the boss because I moved too fast and either hit him or fell into the pit within seconds of entering the fight. Alongside that, every time you die you get sent back to the title screen which makes it very unforgiving for what is trying to be a fun, more casual experience. Graphics and audio are your saving grace, it makes the unappetizing gameplay at least somewhat palatable. Keep that all in mind in April, though, and I think you could have a stellar game. |
