Aug 4 17:46:54 Power Rush ♥ 0 Overall good! I like the idea of this game, and the graphics are great for a gamejam. The choice to make movement slippery is a little frustrating for me.
Aug 4 18:06:11 19m 17s RulesQuest ♥ 0 I posted this on the update page and not the actual game page so I'm sorry if you're reading this twice 😰 I like the gathering of powerups and how the combat is done. I can see this sort of game being expanded upon in so many different ways. That being said, this game can get a little repetitive. The upgrades that you pick up are very small and can get outclassed by enemies quickly
Aug 4 18:15:37 9m 26s Cardiac Assault ♥ 1 I think I get it? The biggest problem for me is the lack of clarity when it comes to what is "too much" or "too little." Maby a voltage meter or a progress bar of sorts will help out. But I see what you're doing and I like it, congratz on releasing!
Aug 4 18:25:22 9m 45s Dam We're Stuck Out Here! ♥ 1 Good idea, could use a little more clarity (I see you already addressed this)
Aug 4 19:04:34 39m 12s Despot 3900 ♥ 2 This one's going in the "KeepThese" folder, well done! It's a unique spin on losing power, the graphics and color scheme are stylish, and it's fun. One thing to point out tho is if war is always a coin toss, the first turn should always be war. If I lose, then whatever, I'll just quickly reset the game. If I win then I start the game with free money. If you didn't want that then you could have war be something the player has to buy into. Like they need to pay in 4000 to start the war and it has a 1.5x payout if won.
Aug 4 20:16:37 1h 12m Goyom ♥ 0 Looks like you and I had the same idea for a puzzle game. Good job on the daily level downloading. I would have never expected that from a game jam!
Aug 4 20:33:44 17m 07s Politics - Rome ♥ 0 I don't really have much more to add than whats already been said. There's a bit of a learning curve and the UI takes some getting used to. But it's a rad idea to gamify roman politics in my book, so you get points for that
Aug 13 13:54:19 209h 20m Scarcity of Superpowers ♥ 0 The 3d Graphics look really good for a gamejam! Most of the powers are great (with the exception of w), and there was a clear tutorial. good job! I found that the majority of my time was spent herding the baddies until I had an ability to use on them. For me, this ends up being a tad boring. If you wanted to combat this than you could have one of the powers recharge on kills. Like if every 4 kills you get a free q, which would give a little more meaning to herding. The UI could also stand to be a little more visable. I notice the sides of the screen are dark and empty, you could align the UI vertically on the sides for more contrast. Overall good game!
Aug 13 14:11:10 16m 51s BUG SQUASHER 9000 ♥ 0 Fun to play, graphics are adorable, and easy to pick up. Great submission! The movement is a little sluggish. In order to shoot at the bugs I would usually come to a full stop, and I completely stopped trying to time out the electric barriers because my shields become fully charged in the next level. One thing that I think would combat both of these problems would be a dash, like something that uses up a chunk of movement energy but it pushes your character forward quickly. Maybe it can squash bugs while dashing at the cost of some shield too! Overall good game!
Aug 13 17:23:01 3h 11m Sabotage ♥ 0 I would love to see this expanded on. As is, the game is a little bare bones. Looks and sounds great tho! Good submission!
Aug 16 14:03:45 68h 40m The 100% Official Liz McColgan's Running Power ♥ 0 To echo some other comments, I like how the player is the one to lose the power. This game also does a good job at emulating the pace of a marathon. As long as your steady (and use both hands to avoid carpel tunnel) you'll be fine. But to be honest, I have no desire to do any other track after the 800m.
Aug 16 14:19:40 15m 55s Exocharge Infinite ♥ 2 Great game The music, sounds, and graphics all work together and are satisfying. To echo some of the other comments, the game is a little unforgiving. Falling is especially annoying. I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't take forever to fall. You could circumnavigate this by making the sides of the stage those yellow walls.
