| Apr 29 07:08:06 | The Tiny Astronaut | ♥ 1 | Hey, this is great! Fun aesthetic, easy to grok but still clever gameplay, and well-executed. Might be interesting to try a version where you run automatically and can't stop, sort of like what Super Mario Run does. EDIT: Tweaking the kill hitboxes might also be nice, as some of them currently feel a bit large. | |
| May 1 03:29:36 | 44h 21m | Murder Mitosis | ♥ 3 | This is seriously a blast. I'm amazed how much polish you were able to add in 72 hours. Gameplay made sense after one round. One thing I did run into is an AI "stalemate" that lasted around two minutes, so something to prevent that might be nice. Fantastic job. |
| May 1 03:56:44 | 27m 08s | Polyorbis | ♥ 1 | Would like to give this a go, but it crashes on launch under macOS 10.12.4 Beta with Java 1.8.0_121. A `~/.polyorbis` directory has been created, but no logs folder under there: njCeyISRcaN9.png Any other info that could be helpful? |
| May 1 04:16:28 | 19m 44s | Sling Ship 🌏 | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed this, nice work! I found the levels with multiple spinning planets a bit overly difficult; a lot of the time it felt like I was just guessing what might work, without being able to know for sure whether it would. As others have mentioned, it would be nice if there were some more UI helpers. For example, indicating when you can grapple to a planet, gravity fields, etc. |
| May 1 04:24:28 | 8m 00s | Gaia | ♥ 2 | This is awesome. Love the music and overall feel. The controls do feel a bit finicky, especially using `Z` to activate when you're using `WASD` to move. It would be nice if there were a secondary activate key, maybe `T` or `G`? |
| May 1 05:55:12 | 1h 30m | Dungeon In a Bottle | ♥ 1 | Awesome work. Tight controls, great graphics, great sounds and music. One of my favorites of the games I've played so far. I'd love to see what a mobile version of this concept feels like. |
| May 1 06:23:27 | 28m 15s | Paper Jam! | ♥ 3 | Fun stuff! I'm a sucker for hand-drawn graphics like this, and really liked how the pad was actually visible in the "real world". One thing that might be an improvement is to zoom the view out a bit. Right now, it can be tough to tell when the sawblades are coming from offscreen, which can make it feel like you're guessing whether a move is safe or not. |
| May 1 06:48:58 | 25m 31s | In Good Hands | ♥ 2 | The sound effects when people and animals get blown off-planet are hilarious. Really enjoyed this. |
| May 1 17:52:41 | 11h 03m | Floppy McFloppyface | ♥ 1 | I really like the "you flap your arms at the tree" sound, ha. I enjoyed this, and played through for both endings. Good fetch-questy gameplay, and I liked your take on the small world. |
| May 1 17:59:28 | 6m 47s | Smalltrek | ♥ 2 | I can't think of enough good things to say here. Love the music, art style, writing, overworld, gameplay, just… damn. Incredible work. Agreed that an "undo" button could be nice. |
| May 2 02:25:28 | 8h 26m | Tiny Battle World | ♥ 1 | _Nice._ tumblr_m9txfc0mZJ1r9zabzo1_400.gif |
| May 3 11:32:28 | 33h 07m | Flovala | ♥ 2 | Great artwork, and I'm a sucker for "eat to grow" games like this. Good stuff. 👍 |
| May 7 02:37:35 | 87h 05m | Gravity Trails | ♥ 1 | Great, great, great stuff all around. The checkpoints were a perfect distance apart to be a challenge without getting _too_ frustrating. Very nice work. |
| May 12 11:07:46 | 128h 30m | Electric Space Jelly | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed this a lot, and it was a take on the theme I hadn't seen. I _really_ like the main character sprite. Something you might want to consider is reversing the "left" and "right" controls when you're going backwards, like how most games do for driving a car in reverse. Right now, you can pretty easily and effectively just go "backwards" the entire time, which feels like probably not how you intended for people to play. Also, thanks for that awesome LP footage and feedback on Booster's Day Out, I really appreciate it! |
