Dec 20 20:50:00 Chicky & The Room Of Unfinished LD You have the start of a nice puzzle game but yes it's lacking of content.
And no you don't sucks, it's not easy to do a game alone in such a short time ;)
Next time will be easier
Dec 20 21:04:00 14m 00s Spectrum Nice story but sometimes it's not easy to move to be able to catch the notes.
Dec 20 22:31:00 1h 27m Mutrix That was a really interesting experiment! It took a while to get used to the controls and getting past the headache of that split screen, but after that it was pretty interesting to play. I fixed 8 difference in the lower level, then tried to go up but the series of jumps on rotating blocks turned out too hard for me.

My main suggestions would go towards improving the camera controls (like having full mouse look instead of just the Y axis, plus making the click/rotate action relative to the current position), and towards making the platforming easier.

Other than that the level design was interesting with some variety in the shapes movements, and the graphics were simple but good enough to me. Resetting the camera is very satisfying :)

Nice job overall, and congrats for this cool mechanic!
Dec 20 22:53:00 22m 00s Spooky Ghost Room Congrats on your entry, the game's pretty polished and worked well for me. The graphics are good and cohesive, reminding me of the PSX era for some reason!

The gameplay works spookiness-wise, and the level generation was fine so nice job! On the other hand the scoring system felt a bit convoluted: my first playthrough was rushing through the level collecting lights & dying like a noob, second one was just standing still to see if I could survive... that's only when I realized the game is simply high-score based :P

Like MessinaBrothers said, to me the lighted area thing screamed for getting bigger as you collect lights, maybe to let you see ghosts in advance as they move faster and faster. That would make the game more exciting I think!

Anyway excellent work, it certainly doesn't look like a game from beginners :)
Dec 21 18:20:00 19h 27m LudumDojo Nice idea to mix the wasd keys and arrows keys. It's not easy at the beginning when you have 4 keys to press at the same time.
Nice entry ;)

I would suggest some camera movements to make the game more interesting.
Dec 21 18:37:00 17m 00s Video Games Are My Life Nice entry and nice idea for the Graphics. It's hard to innovate with a plateformer but you manage to do it.

However, a check point would have been appreciated.
Dec 23 11:52:00 41h 15m No Man Hero Nice game you just need a little more contents and an inventory more visible. It took me 2 min to understand that my laser was there ^^

The lack of content is expected for a 48h Compo entry so Good job.
Dec 23 11:58:00 6m 00s Stream of Time It's too bad you remove the link. The idea of ludum dare is to finish the game in 48h or 72h but don't worry, lots of game are not finished and I'm pretty sure the nearly every one would have add some contents if they had more time.

Even if it's not finished people could have give you some advice for your next try and some advice for your post compo entry.
Dec 23 12:13:00 15m 00s Celda Nice one. The one room with door that put you in the same room again and again was my first idea so It was cool to see a game with this idea.

I don't know if there is a end, I killed lots of robots and move inside lots of empty room before dying.

On the gameplay, the shoot seems to make very little domages, I end up using only the slash.

Good job
Dec 23 13:44:00 1h 31m Hello I am Orb It's too bad the control made it unplayable because it's would have been a very good entry.
I like the Graphics that are very good and even more for a compo entry.
Dec 23 14:20:00 36m 00s Eternal Prison Very nice Sokoban. The game is really polished and clean. The levels are really interesting and I like the idea of making some cube you are moving disappeared as well.
One of the best entries I have tested so far.
Good job
Dec 23 15:04:00 44m 00s MFBFS I really like the game. I think it's the one I play the longer and one of my favorite.
Well done
Dec 23 15:29:00 25m 00s [Almost] One Room I manage to find all the numbers! It's a very nice entry that is very polished.
Nice escape game ;)
Dec 23 16:30:00 1h 01m TELEMATICS Like everyone here I'm really impressed by the environment art and the sense of detail. You pushed really far that idea of drawing onto a pre-rendered 3D scene and that payed off really well - the noise FX on top wraps it up as a pretty specific and satisfying art style so really, congrats!

The gameplay itself is pretty interesting and fit the theme very well. Now I found it quite hard to figure out how to stay alive (best I could do was 2pm, not sure if because of me pressing buttons correctly or just pure luck :P), anyway I felt the point of the game was more to convey a message and an atmosphere, and that it does really well. A little nitpick, I felt like some of the game over messages, while pretty funny broke the immersion a bit.

All in all it's a really impressive compo entry, and I'd really like to see more of that art style!

NB. Just before pressing Submit I tried a couple more playthroughs, and almost managed to finish my shift, so I think I start to get the hang of it ;)
Dec 23 17:12:00 42m 00s Domain Nice idea and realization. I like the mechanics and the story even if it's a pretty strange one ^^

The only complains would be the lack of IA to make the game challenging but I know it's a compo entry and the time is limited and running out very fast.

Congrats for this game ;)
Dec 23 18:54:00 1h 42m Space Junk Pretty good entry. I survive 60.36s.
It's a complete entry, fun with good graphics and audio and fit right on the theme.
The death by piston is just too frustrating :(
Dec 24 14:09:00 19h 15m Crazy Factory Better than Infinifactory! The controls & physics were clunky but the idea is really great, too bad you only had 3 days to implement it ;)

I had fun discovering the gameplay and how to make the assembly line work. I eventually got stuck on the bean-making machine: the powder got in, and for a split second I seemed to have made a coffee bean, but then it glitched or something and the machine exploded :P So I couldn't finish it unfortunately!

I assume the unpacked corn is here to make the coffee packaging, so I'm curious whether the final machine indeed works with two ingredients and how. But I have no idea what the logs are for x)

All in all the game feels unfinished but very promising, so nice job! And the music fits the game pretty well too.
Dec 24 14:14:00 5m 00s Diabolic Toys - Tower Defense Very cool Graphics and idea.
It's missing some explaination on what are the different types of towers but it's still a great entry.
Nice job ;)
Dec 24 15:17:00 1h 03m Room 51 The amount of work you did is really impressive for a jam event: the intro cutscene, voice over, humor and overall looks of the game made it pretty fun! Not mentioning the impressive amount of places/puzzles/contents.

I went through about half of the game (according to the solution) and the puzzle difficulty was mostly well balanced to figure things out by ourselves.

On the down side, the pacing of the game could use some improvements : for instance the long (but funny!) dialogues could be more enjoyable if we had ways to skip a line after reading it. Also there's a lot of walking around, maybe making the levels more compact and/or increasing movement speed (especially vertical movement) could help with that.

Other than that it's a very good entry, so nice job!
Dec 24 16:19:00 1h 02m HourGlass Collector Excellent game, the one I had the most fun playing so far. I loved playing all of the variants, the fact that they switched often kept things fresh. The "spotlight" one stood out to me for its originality.

The music is another good surprise, being upbeat, pleasant and just varied enough not to feel repetitive.

The simple, not too cohesive graphics are the low aspect of the game for I didn't really care, the platforming was solid, and the idea well executed.

Finished with 26 deaths, most of them in the Newton sequence ;)
Jan 1 22:00:00 197h 41m The Cursed Chamber Excellent entry, I loved the general idea and the audio (the music + SFX fit together very well to create an interesting atmosphere).

A more skill-based combat (if only by using an alternate sprite when the skeletons attack) would have made the gameplay even better, letting you make the game last longer without making it boring. But with the current gameplay the game is just as long as it needs to be, and well balanced too so not an issue :)

The entry is also well polished, which is pretty impressive for a compo entry! Congrats
Jan 1 22:10:00 10m 00s One room-one car-one flag For a moment I had troubles figuring out the objectives but once I got the hang of it it turned out surprisingly fun to play! I really liked the gameplay, I would have liked more levels to explore the potential a bit more :)

Now I think you know it, the graphics are a complete mess x) Now that made the game pretty funny somehow, and didn't prevent from enjoying the gameplay so why not!
Jan 1 22:32:00 22m 00s Plastic Regiment Really impressive, especially as a compo entry! I finished the first 2 levels.

The graphics are pretty good, and I'm surprised by the amount of assets you've managed to produce in so little time (characters, weapons etc.).

The level design is good and gives character to the game - the medium level was the most interesting to me as I had to explore the map to find out how to get within shooting range of the goal. I didn't manage to destroy the bookcase on the hard level, but I didn't try too hard either, maybe I should have shot more bombs & rockets at it!

Overall I like the "Star Wars Battlefield" feel of the game, and the spawn animations are awesome! A really ambitious entry :)
Jan 1 22:46:00 14m 00s Escape the Room The artstyle is pretty original!

Other than that I died 30 times on the first 2 floors x)

I occasionally enjoy hardcore platformers (finished Super Meat Boy) but this one didn't stick for me - I can work on adapting my playstyle to the fast controls and heavy gravity, so I wouldn't point these as problems actuelly. I think the frustrating camera placement and the very pessimistic hitboxes are what threw me away.

Now I've watched rnlf's playthrough of your game and it looks like you put plenty of love into this, with the gears/pendulums etc. So nice job!
