Dec 15 07:24:00 Dungeon Surge Very solid entry and interesting game mechanics. Easy to pick up and it just works! Graphics are minimalist but fitting, gameplay oddly involving for a 2 button game. Great design!
Dec 15 07:29:00 5m 00s Master Baiting Very soothing soundtrack and interesting gameplay choice. To me the throwing animation took a tad too long and I didn't catch much fish because I never knew what I did wrong...
Dec 15 09:34:00 2h 05m Forks and Porks Unfortunately I can't play, the game throws an unhandled exception as soon as the fork-guy touches the pig.
Dec 15 10:10:00 36m 00s Someone Who Isn't Mario Teaches How Not to Type An interesting concept, a little bit like Typing of the Dead meets Mario. The graphics are functional, only the music was borderline between lulz and getting on my nerves really really fast.
Dec 15 10:14:00 4m 00s Girl Story Nice little game, although the control feel a little floaty or unresponsive. Music was nice :)
Dec 15 18:20:00 8h 06m Bud the Gardener It's a nice little idea, only navigating the interface really feels cumbersome. What would've helped would be an icon of the currently selected item outside the yard instead of hovering over the gardener.
Dec 15 18:25:00 5m 00s Shape Shooter First of all: Please don't use an installer, it just clutters up everything and is not really necessary for little GameMaker games. I speak from experience :)

Apart from that: Really enjoyable arcady shmup with a twist. Liked the recoil as means of transportation quite a lot and the screen-shake gives everything a nice feeling of OOMPH!. You even made an icon! :)
Dec 15 18:33:00 8m 00s Brobots Nice little game with retro 1991-DOS-shareware-game kinda graphics. Only the music occasionally got a bit on my nerves. Also nice progression of difficulty and new gameplay elements. Only suggestion: Have the buttons mapped to keyboard-buttons, e.g. A and D or something. And R to retry :)
Dec 15 18:38:00 5m 00s Jay in Love Garden Okay, took me a while to figure out. So basically it's a take on the adage "Money doesn't grow on trees" ;) My advice: The first level is a bit unforgiving, maybe increase the time limit a bit.
Dec 15 18:45:00 7m 00s Robot Rapture Nice runner. Some suggestions: Limit the player bullets (and also make them bigger/easier to see), because I was just spamming the whole time the mouse button, maybe add Ammo packs the player can collect. The jump is very floaty because it's linear, you could make it a little snappier.
Dec 15 18:50:00 5m 00s MK-F417XX3 Wow, very solid entry! Love the small file-size, the minimalist but fitting graphics and that the sound effects are synced up the music apparently? Loved it!
Dec 15 19:03:00 13m 00s Eager So it's a pixely Osmos then? ;) Real nice and kinda chill music too. And I played this for way too long, but my compulsion led me to at least grow up to a point where I had the current year as score: http://s17.postimg.org/xt51t1gy7/image.png ;)
Dec 15 19:08:00 5m 00s GrowSeedPinball Instant reminiscence of Revenge of the Gator on GameBoy for me :) Very fun toying around with that bounce seed. Also nice graphics style and busy music. Good stuff!
Dec 15 19:15:00 7m 00s Save the World Nice and kinda funny. But I constantly mixed up the buttons. Could've done better with a health-bar or something...
Dec 15 19:21:00 6m 00s Infinitree Ha, that was one of my ideas! Great to see it realized! Had lots of fun with it, was curious if I would end up in space with high enough points (http://s8.postimg.org/b6ytdgxj9/image.png). Only thing that was bugging me was that your reaction really had to be spot on from the start since you always stay in the middle of the screen. Maybe start the game with the player being on the bottom and slowly increase their position towards the screen center?
Dec 15 19:29:00 8m 00s Grow, Thrive, Evolve Almost made it, those darn birds! ;) Very nice game with a rather melancholic soundtrack. Reminded me a little of SimLife. Which is good!
Dec 15 19:41:00 12m 00s Rosebud (Growing) Ha, verys nice. Almost reached 10000 pts. There's a bit of challenge missing once you're constantly Super Rosebud but apart from that the game was real fun to play, like a top down stealth game in a way :)
Dec 15 19:48:00 7m 00s Pointless Text Based Quest Your engine really needs auto-scroll and maybe highlight keywords in some way. I almost always needed "help" to get a list of clues. cardinal directions could also be shortened to N, E, S, W. And I think I encountered a glitch: On the second day (?) I could only look at the clue "X=" but "back" wouldn't work.
Dec 15 19:54:00 6m 00s FloppySnake great art design, really loved it and am still curious what kinda sound you would have done. Liked also the idea of smart bombs. Nice little time-waster :)
Dec 15 19:59:00 5m 00s リーソンのゲーム Leeson's Game Took me a bit to figure it out, perhaps you could instead of having "target bars", have walls come at the player with differently sized holes? All in all a nice little game for my Atari 2600, although not really exhausting the hardware ;)
Dec 15 20:03:00 4m 00s Rockets Hate the Moon Ha, fun little game. But shooting by hitting both buttons was awkward and really messed up my trajectory. Game could've also gone for a bit longer, because the music was nice :)
Dec 15 20:06:00 3m 00s Flower One thing I really love about java games is the small filesize :) But then the game just showed a blank, light-gray screen and nothing happend :(
Dec 15 20:11:00 5m 00s Flower: Icarus That game was more complex than I anticipated. Interesting topic for a clicker game, but I had to start over a couple of times because I painted myself into a corner. Nice game, though!
Dec 15 20:16:00 5m 00s Survive I have no idea what I was doing. It seems like a shooter that's got way too much randomness (shoot direction, "enemy" appearance) and too little player interaction. Just move and shoot. Or am I missing something?
Dec 17 15:30:00 43h 14m Space Pilot Interesting comment on the shmup genre: Since you always want to be shooting, no need to hold down a button :) It got hard pretty quick despite my best efforts but I had fun playing it. Also nice 1982-kinda graphics. :)
Dec 17 15:36:00 6m 00s Deflext Very interesting concept, enjoyed it very much. This probably works better as an VR game because it was a matter of luck whether I blocked/absorbed projectiles or missed them. Also It wasn't quite clear what element mages are volatile to what powers. Also, how about having the colors of the elements be reflected in the HUD? So I would know I had 2 fire and one wind shot, for example.
Dec 17 15:40:00 4m 00s Scary Snake Congrats on your first entry -- you've made it! :) I enjoyed it, gave me fond memories of NIBBLES.BAS if anybody remembers it.
Dec 17 15:41:00 1m 00s Hardware Snake Fat respect for making an Arduino game! I wish I could play, don't have an A myself :/
Dec 17 15:45:00 4m 00s Seedling Really solid entry, looks kinda polished with the transitions and nice level-complete graphics. It plays a bit like a turn-based game of Snake/Pacman. Keep working on it, I want some cheers music to go along :)
Dec 17 16:01:00 16m 00s Speed Puck Reminded me a little of Audiosurf and Guitar Hero a bit. What caught me off guard was the strange momentum of the pucks, maybe have their momentum the other way round, slow in the beginning and getting faster towards the end. This would have helped me personally in estimating when I needed to push the buttons.
Dec 17 16:09:00 8m 00s When in doubt...C4 Very fun little puzzle game. Had a bit of Missile Command in it but anticipating the ball's path and timing multiple C4 packs accordingly was pretty neat. i wish it had had a few more screens. But that's definitely something! Respect!
Jan 3 18:23:00 410h 14m Everyone is a Suspect Interesting game, I like murder mysteries. I wish I had had a little more to go on in the beginning, but that's definitely something. Enjoyed it (still I am clueless about who dunnit).
Jan 3 18:33:00 10m 00s Run Cube, run! Enjoyed the isometric artstyle, however here are some suggestions for improvements (entirely subjective, of course):
* Don't use Z and X, those keys are not next to each other on a German keyboard layout. A/S, Q/W, ↑/↓, 1/2, would be good alternatives
* the jumping feels sluggish. Maybe increase the upwards part of the jump drastically in speed and/or magnitude
* It was impossible to tell whether I'd reach a coin or not. Maybe have them project their shadows onto the rail, so players would know where they are located?
* I constantly spammed the lane with projectiles and never saw an obstacle or enemy. Maybe limit the player-gun even more, e.g. by a cool-down, having the player also collect "ammo-packs" for it, and/or the possibility to also shoot precious coins.
* Ramp up the difficulty, e.g. by slowly increasing the speed of the game, increasing the number of enemies/gaps or introducing multi-level platforms. I'm sure you can come up with something.
Still it was fun! All the best :)
Jan 3 18:40:00 7m 00s Critical Balance Interesting concept, albeit a bit lacking in player interactivity. Here are some suggestions for it (very subjective, as always)
* Have the balls not drop (haha!) at the platforms' center points, so it would be possible to play a bit of pinball with them
* Have the platforms on different levels and in different lengths so there's a bit more variety. Maybe even move them around a little bit?
* It took me a bit to realize that I should target the object on the bottom instead of avoid it. It could help to give it some kind of "shovel" or "basket" appearance to hit home that it collects the balls.
* Maybe even have other shapes (cubes, pyramids) and/or surfaces with varying friction to make the game less predictable?
Jan 3 18:42:00 2m 00s Momentum Sadly found no players but enjoyed the menu music :)
