| Aug 24 19:58:00 | Dragon Tale: Acquisition | Fun little game, but I was a bit confused as to how to return to the map screen after selecting an area to play in. Also I shouldn't be able to fly out of the screen, and somehow I was unable to kill humans/sheep? | |
| Aug 25 01:10:00 | 5h 12m | Totem | The jump smash is so satisfying and the movements really give the monster the feeling of weight. Striking art and atmosphere, though wish there was some more gameplay to it. The music could also be a tad less harsh on the ears. |
| Aug 25 01:16:00 | 6m 00s | Tentacle Blockade | A very well-rounded game! I enjoyed the controls and mechanic, although would have been nice to see a visual indicator of ships in a "grasped" state, as sometimes I would think I have grabbed one, went on to slam it into another ship, and realizing I didn't grab it.

I agree that there should be more variety of ships as the difficulty ramped up. A scoring system could easily up the replay value too. |
| Aug 25 01:24:00 | 8m 00s | Monster | I like the clean, minimal aesthetic, but the controls took a while to get used to. I'd personally prefer the classic "arrow keys to move, space to shoot" approach so the player can focus on the game and not which key was supposed to shoot. Good work. |
| Aug 25 22:45:00 | 21h 21m | Someone stole the Princess! | So glad you addressed the memory leak; I can actually play the game now! Cute little roguelike, enjoyed the gameplay and nostalgia. |
| Aug 26 04:44:00 | 5h 59m | Roadkill | Wish there was more to it but otherwise fairly polished for having been done in a couple hours. Great color scheme and music! |
| Aug 26 04:51:00 | 7m 00s | Edge of Grey | The movements felt slow and stiff to me. I dig the atmosphere and the size of the explorable area, just wish there was more feedback with attacking and getting attacked. Also is there a way to heal? |
| Aug 26 05:02:00 | 11m 00s | Halloween Maskness | I really liked the game the art, music, and gameplay all worked well together. The game mechanic was fresh and creative. I especially like how you had the sky events map out with the A, S, D keys in their position in the sky. |
| Aug 26 05:18:00 | 16m 00s | The Fifth Apartment | Very good art and mood! I'm still a bit unsure about what all was happening. |
| Aug 26 05:24:00 | 6m 00s | Camp Starvation | I liked the Papers Please inspiration! Pretty fun until the game got stuck after sending the rest of my people out for supplies and I couldn't feed myself (bug?). I also did not realize I could give more than one food to people, wish I had known that before everyone got mad at me! And finally, it'd be great if I could skip the scavenge mode if I wanted to go straight to the food time. Overall a strong entry!

It actually has a thematic and gameplay similarity to a past LD game we did called "Rations, Please!" Check it out! http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-28/?action=preview&uid=22946 |
| Aug 26 05:28:00 | 4m 00s | Betty the Yeti | Great graphics, I loved the attention to details in the way the people skated around and tilted. Got all the people and was hoping to be called a Monster instead of winner :p |
| Aug 26 05:32:00 | 4m 00s | KidsGrace | Nice polish; very cute graphics and audio! I wish there was more feedback distinguishing between the keys I've pressed too slow vs keys I mispressed. Otherwise nicely done! |
| Aug 26 05:33:00 | 1m 00s | Run Ogre, Run! | Played the web version, the graphic mostly black and white, like the lighting was too strong or textures where missing. Was pretty fun! |
| Aug 26 05:39:00 | 6m 00s | Monster Truck Story | Very pretty! It was fun crashing into things. I got into a weird state where the screen was all blurry the music kept playing and every now and then it seemed like the ground was shattering... |
| Aug 26 05:46:00 | 7m 00s | The monster | First LD33 game to make me laugh out loud, kudos for that! ;) |
| Aug 26 05:48:00 | 2m 00s | rIPoff | Pretty funny concept. I liked the dialog. |
| Aug 26 05:55:00 | 7m 00s | Tales of the Memory Dragon | It would be so much more satisfactory if the dragons stretched their heads out to eat the birds, Hungry Hungry Hippos style. I also wish you did a more elegant solution for the controls, maybe clicking on the heads?

Otherwise, a good first LD, keep at it! |
| Aug 26 05:59:00 | 4m 00s | I'm a Monster Rawr! | Cute graphics! |
| Aug 26 06:20:00 | 21m 00s | Orbit | Nice graphics! The game was pretty hard until I figured how to slow down a lot. |
| Aug 26 06:48:00 | 28m 00s | Motherflipin' T-Rex! | Those sound effects are hilarious! Great fast-paced rampage game. |
| Aug 26 07:14:00 | 26m 00s | Hero Mate | Fantastic execution! Really creative use of the theme, and I felt the art, music, and gameplay all worked really well together. |
| Aug 30 06:42:00 | 95h 28m | Monster - Your Worst Is Our Best | Solid game, strong pixel art and animations as well as music and sound. Only thing is the amount of effort required to navigate the interface; I wish the monsters would come in one after the other so I wouldn't have to manually select one to view next, then open and flip through the jobs one by one. I know that is influenced from Papers, Please, but as others have mentioned maybe introducing more mechanics further into the game will make it easier to draw players in.

Overall, a fantastic and polished job. Very well done. |
| Aug 30 16:57:00 | 10h 15m | Road To Hell | Fun, but I felt could be faster. I didn't encounter many cars going in the same direction as me, and when I did hit them I didn't feel I was getting a satisfying boost in speed. A HUD indicator of my current speed and distance would incentivize replays. Also, missed opportunity to make the player control a MONSTER truck! |
| Aug 30 17:07:00 | 10m 00s | Nipper Nosher | The game is fairly straightforward, although jump physics are a little floaty (that may be intentional since it's set in a very space-y location). I feel that the enemies are way too overbearing; I can hardly land on a platform without one already positioned exactly where I will be, not to mention their hitboxes are huge and I die without visually touching an enemy. This coupled with the floaty physics makes it dangerous to even jump. I get that the game is supposed to be hard but tighter controls, better hitboxes, and predictable enemy movements will keep it challenging and add replay value.

Good work nonetheless! |
| Aug 30 17:12:00 | 5m 00s | Petit Monstre | Beautiful entry and wonderful interpretation of the theme. I especially love how much your nephew's and sister's voices brought to the mood and feel of this childhood-simulator; I certainly felt nostalgic playing this :) |
| Aug 30 17:31:00 | 19m 00s | Birdy Bridge | Cute and fun game. I actually enjoy the "easy" mode better than the original, mostly because it gives the player to learn the level, try different paths to avoid the stars, or just not punish the player for simply being a few pixels off when placing a bird. A dotted line indication of the girl's jump trajectory will also help diffuse some of the frustration!

Overall, the art, music and story come together nicely. Great job! |
| Sep 7 05:13:00 | 179h 42m | AM I? | Nice art style! |
| Sep 7 05:17:00 | 4m 00s | Mother Nature | Satisfyingly nihilistic! |
| Sep 7 05:22:00 | 5m 00s | Storm the Castle | Interesting mechanic. |
| Sep 10 02:03:00 | 68h 41m | Player Rush | Great game and incredible polish! I played the pre-jam version. Would love to see more content, maybe different environments and attacks. Great job! |
