the color choices are very pretty, and the final death screen clearly had a lot of love put into it, but I'm not a huge fan of the rest of this game. I think the primary issue I have with it is that the characters movement speed is painfully sluggish. The slow movement speed causes the controls to feel kind of unresponsive, because it takes a very long time before you feel like you've actually made progress in a desired direction. After fixing that up, I think dodging and weaving through meteor patterns could become a real fun challenge.
Great ideas! Did change the game according to your suggestions, as I agree completely.

Great music, great gameplay, great graphics. This was fun :D
I liked it. Epilepsy warning might be nice though as it does flash a lot when you die.
I honestly think people prone to epileptic shocks shouldn't be playing unfinished indie jam games as a general rule.
The graphics look great!

Yeah, an epilepsy warning would have been nice, that was a hell of a lot of flashing going on! Really liked the walking animations.
Nice game for a few hours! Music was fab despite there not being much. The kill screen is super cool, though I may have contracted some form of photosensitive epilepsy from watching it happen.
Also, why isn't this in pico-8. 8O|
Eh, workin in pico-8 got kinda stale after a while. You don't always always wanna use the same 16 colors + resolution as every other pico user. It's a cool thing, I'm just oversaturated with it's content at the moment.

Amazing game. Really good feel and nice art style.
I really like the retro-graphic style that you used (did you get inspired by Crawl?)!
The gameplay is nice and funny!
Nice entry, well done!
Crawl is great, but I didn't get inspired my a game evoking retro aesthetics as much as they got inspired by their love for retro games just as I.

Graphics are wonderful, gameplay is simplistic but fun and the music fits really well. Excellent work.
Graphics : green and pink hurts my eyes
Audio : Good at the begenning and unbearable after 10s
Gameplay: Few difficulty and extremely repetitive
In a very short time is not bad great job
Wish there was more to it but otherwise fairly polished for having been done in a couple hours. Great color scheme and music!
Beautiful game, great job. I included it in part 7 of my Ludum Dare 33 Compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) youtu.be/Ly6pR3C_dVc

Got a score of 8040 on my second run due to awesome luck with the carpet bomb spawn patterns. Judging by two runs it feels a tad RNG heavy, which is really my only gripe with the game. Now that I think about it would've been cool to skip the "intro" on subsequent runs as it took quite a while. The aesthetic was lovely and the gameplay, while simple, felt very fitting.
Hah, that's a really high number! I was wondering what the end screen would look like if you got a ridiculously high score and it would further reach into the graphic, but I never had the patience to go much further beyond a couple thousand.

I really like the colors, but the final screen seems so much different than the rest! I was not sure on how to stomp on the people, as sometimes they passed through me. But nice work!
