Apr 30 03:32:00 Monoboy Some of the platforms felt like their sprites deceive their hitboxes.
Apr 30 03:39:00 7m 00s Exploid This is a pretty nice take on one-button games.
Apr 30 03:44:00 5m 00s INO Unnecessarily frustrating because of the control scheme. I'm used to isometric games being rotated 90 degrees from this.
Apr 30 03:50:00 6m 00s VTanks That terrain-breaking algorithm is cool.
Apr 30 03:56:00 6m 00s Triangles Hm. Runs unplayably slow on my computer, though I haven't had problems with other Java entries.
May 1 16:59:00 37h 03m The Rules Are Simple... It lacks some focus and has a bit of awkward progression, but it's still one of the most promising prototypes. 4 stars just for the amount of content.

I could see this being made into a full-length game, with higher production values. Please consider that.
May 1 17:28:00 29m 00s A THE GAME FOR MS-DOS viiskauttaviis
May 1 17:47:00 19m 00s Sociales Santillana This is quite original, but unfortunately suffers from some design flaws. For example, it's hard to make up any cool strategies because the game limits you to the immediately "correct" choices.
May 1 17:57:00 10m 00s Nothing This is some kind of a standout for its production values.

However, it's sad that the gameplay feels like it was never playtested. For a plain runner game, you should have a lot of reference material for making the controls work. The character's so slow and clumsy.
May 1 18:03:00 6m 00s TRANSFER_THEM Cool toy, not nearly enough responsiveness for a good game.
May 1 18:12:00 9m 00s Mini Mix A very solid proof-of-concept. The mechanics could still be juiced further for some real "a-ha" moments. That means you have to turn this into a full game!
May 1 18:51:00 39m 00s MATAR! This game redefined my life

wow thanks
May 1 19:03:00 12m 00s Seed Experiments like this are the soul of Ludum Dare. It's a bit chaotic for an arcade game, but since there's feedback for just about every interaction, playing around with it is quite pleasant.
May 1 19:10:00 7m 00s Hiddensquares I understood it, but it needs better level progression.
May 1 19:14:00 4m 00s Tinge A bit unsettling. For an atmospheric game like this, programmer art/music is a turn-off.
May 1 19:27:00 13m 00s The epicly short adventure Above-average content for 48 hours. Gotta love the player-character relationship.

I think there was a double jump bug in the chasm, I needed to jump once on the ledge or the double jump wouldn't activate (reeks of faulty game logic).
May 1 19:40:00 13m 00s O.R.M. Ontological Ressource Management I love this. The resource management is so simple but so addictive. Really forces you to think about the essential, which is what the theme is all about.
May 1 19:46:00 6m 00s Werewolf in Space Eh. Simple and funny, but I'd like it to be more about deductions than guesswork. Some graphics bugs with the text.
May 1 19:56:00 10m 00s Maximus Minimalist Because of this game, I made a boo-boo.

***END TRANSMISSION***
May 1 20:17:00 21m 00s BASHLAND - Breakout Mario Mashup I can see this as a mobile app, yeah. Just needs a bit more variety, more meaningful uses for the breaking mechanic. I particularly like the audio.
May 1 21:54:00 1h 37m Atrakt 4096 A technically good proof-of-concept, but the main problem is a lack of explanation. Basic things like what you actually need to *do* in the game, what items can be pushed and why.
May 1 22:09:00 15m 00s Better Triangle A pretty damn solid game, to be honest. The "stealing enemy parts" thing is clever, but there's something too heavy about the ship's movement. Sleek graphical style.
May 1 22:17:00 8m 00s Dungeon Runner This is creepy, I jumped a bit when the first enemy ran at me from behind. As non-existent as the gameplay is, the super-sensitive controls don't really work with it.
May 1 22:50:00 33m 00s Escape The boss fights are the weakest part. Too repetitive, too long, you can get stuck in the walls, have to restart the whole level if you die, and what else.

The idea of the character growing works well within the theme. It's spiced with cool details like the intro sequence.
May 2 11:24:00 12h 34m Gimme back my keys The premise is a clever take on the theme as it is, but you also explored a lot of interesting possibilities with the level designs. With some above-average visual/audio design thrown in as well, it's a memorable entry overall. Solid 4 stars.
May 2 11:39:00 15m 00s The Square - By Suese Doesn't do much, but does it decently.

Clumsiness in the form of unskippable text and awkward attacks/collisions. The player character it animated all right, everything else looks programmer arty. A bit heavy on the scanlines, don't you think?
May 2 11:50:00 11m 00s Quest Not a fan. Awkward yet generic gameplay in a programmer art world. The lack of mouselook feels limiting. The audio is the most worthwhile part, I think.
May 2 23:07:00 11h 17m imy Moody as hell, with a gimmick that stands to be explored further. Hooked from the first second.
May 2 23:23:00 16m 00s Gallery Oh wow, this is creepy. The audio -makes- this. I love it when gamedevs actually pay attention to sound design, rather than treating it as a necessary evil that can be rushed.

Some clever puzzle designs too. Great entry.
May 2 23:51:00 28m 00s Digital H Very short, which is a shame. Some nice audiovisual effects and unique interactions.
May 3 11:12:00 11h 21m Skware The mechanic is clever, but I don't understand the decision to allow the player to move in half-tiles. The experience suffers from programmer art and audio, I'd like to see this redone with higher production values.
May 5 00:25:00 37h 13m Gods Will Be Watching Glad this is getting exposure outside of the Ludum Dare crowd. One of the best entries this time, rich in quality content.
