| Apr 29 01:24:00 | this game might lie | I see a startling lack of potatoes in this game. Is that part of the lie? | |
| Apr 29 03:38:00 | 2h 14m | Essential | The game mechanic was pretty interesting and the (understandably) minimalistic graphics were functional. Sometimes it was hard to keep track of how certain blocks behaved, though; maybe you could have added in extra visual cues to remind the player of what direction they were allowed to walk through the blocks. |
| Apr 29 03:51:00 | 13m 00s | Milo's Bridge | The game seemed to run slowly on my computer, maybe because I had a lower framerate. All in all it was pretty good for an early game made in 48 hours. I think the combat would have been more interesting with some flying or jumping enemies (if there were any, I didn't manage to get to them), since it would give jumping more of a purpose besides getting across the bridge. |
| Apr 29 03:58:00 | 7m 00s | COLORFORM | This game puts an interesting spin on the change-player's-color gameplay mechanic. I'm generally not too fond of it, but the timing aspect makes it a lot more palatable. The soundtrack is good, too. |
| Apr 29 04:15:00 | 17m 00s | 100% Safe Download | I can't find a way to download this game. |
| Apr 29 04:21:00 | 6m 00s | Anti-Tac-Tic | Simple game, but pretty interesting concept. |
| Apr 29 04:24:00 | 3m 00s | Exploid | Overall a pretty fun game. It would be nice if it didn't throw you directly into the action, though, so that you could get used to the controls first. |
| Apr 29 04:28:00 | 4m 00s | Onion Harvester | The graphics were simple, but better pixel art than I could do. The gameplay was pretty simple and the game was short, but the controls and collisions felt good. |
| Apr 29 04:34:00 | 6m 00s | -- | I got the same error. |
| Apr 29 04:42:00 | 8m 00s | Defense of the 8-Bits | Scratch always seemed hard to work with to me, so I'm impressed by the fact that you managed to get everything that's there in 48 hours. The tank moved a little too slowly for my liking, but I liked the controls and the way the attachment to the tank trailed along behind it. |
| Apr 29 04:45:00 | 3m 00s | One Crate Sokoban In The Dark | Pretty simple game, but the inability to see far-away walls is interesting and the controls are responsive. |
| Apr 29 04:50:00 | 5m 00s | Minyrinth | Pretty fun game. Like Super Hexagon only without the hexagons. I think the powerups and movement ability made it better than Super Hexagon, actually, at least from a gameplay standpoint. I would have made the player a little faster in exchange for bigger gaps in the shapes, though. |
| Apr 29 06:14:00 | 1h 24m | Astray during Tea Time | One small bug: if you finish the game and then try to restart it, it automatically takes you back to the "you won" screen. |
| Apr 29 06:22:00 | 8m 00s | Square Quest | Great game, would love to see an expanded version. I wish you wouldn't get stuck on walls when moving diagonally, though. |
| Apr 29 06:45:00 | 23m 00s | Cubed Dream | I couldn't get past the first Next > button. I clicked on it and mashed my keyboard, but couldn't find any way to advance. |
| Apr 29 06:55:00 | 10m 00s | Don't Smash The Vase | Interesting concept, fun to control the vase. I kind of wish you could rotate gravity faster, though. |
| Apr 29 07:06:00 | 11m 00s | REVOLVENGARDE | Really fun game. Even though the graphics were minimal, the way the paddle remained perfectly pixellated when rotated made it look really good. |
| Apr 29 07:18:00 | 12m 00s | Super Mondria Brothers | The combination of the fluid movement and large pixels made the movement seem really odd but also strangely enjoyable. I would've liked to see more open areas to explore in addition to the tight corridors that make it up right now. |
| Apr 29 07:26:00 | 8m 00s | Blue | Very polished for a game made in 48 hours. |
| Apr 29 07:31:00 | 5m 00s | P | The graphics were simple, but the way the player and the background reacted to things made it look very polished. The controls were smooth and the health gives you a margin for error without making it too easy. |
| Apr 29 07:49:00 | 18m 00s | The Boy Who Leapt Through Planets | The graphics were awful but it kind of added to the charm of the game. This is probably the funniest LD game I've played so far. |
| Apr 29 23:29:00 | 15h 40m | theseus.f | The color choice makes the minimal graphics look really good and the movement is very smooth. |
| Apr 30 00:04:00 | 35m 00s | Persist | Great graphics and music. Stencyl is ridiculously laggy even for Flash, and I wasn't able to jump high enough to complete the waterfall level, but what I saw was great. |
| Apr 30 00:14:00 | 10m 00s | potato audio poetry | I think your entry really raises some interesting questions about the nature of reality. For instance, games may be art, but are games games? |
| Apr 30 00:53:00 | 39m 00s | Squeezed Out | Simple game, but it controls well and gets challenging fast. |
| Apr 30 01:53:00 | 1h 00m | fightfightfight | This is hilarious. It's the perfect game, minus the gameplay. |
| Apr 30 02:34:00 | 41m 00s | pigMINt | Cool concept and really pretty to look at. It took me a while to figure out that the x-coordinate of your mouse cursor controlled your color, though, so maybe you could spell it out explicitly in the game for people too lazy to read the description. |
| Apr 30 03:00:00 | 26m 00s | minimalistherain | Cool gameplay mechanic, the movement was smooth and the controls were responsive. |
| Apr 30 03:04:00 | 4m 00s | [[[[ | Hey, at least it has gameplay. I've seen potatoes submitted to this competition that were worse than this game. |
| May 1 00:48:00 | 21h 44m | Adventures !inColour | The levels seemed to drag on for too long without much (any?) variation. It's a good game, but I feel like it should have been a lot shorter. |
| May 3 03:01:00 | 50h 13m | Nothing is Impossible | My high score is 18. |
| May 6 23:42:00 | 92h 41m | Simplyfy | I died a lot and I complained in the comments section about it. I think the problem is that you accelerate too quickly on the ground and too slowly in the air. Besides that, the skill loss mechanic seems interesting (although I never got far enough to test it out) and the levels seem well-designed to facilitate that mechanic. |
| May 9 02:55:00 | 51h 13m | Get The Potato | Wow. I was the potato the entire time? That's deep. |
