Dec 19 01:31:00 ECHO CHAMBER Great stuff, very moody. The sound is what impressed me the most - I got a "Kid A" vibe from it. I don't mind that there wasn't much difficulty to it, after a few minutes I decided to lose to see what happened.
Dec 19 02:07:00 36m 00s Lair Defense I guess I should have guessed by the title of the game that it was a tower defense style game. At first I was tapping on the taxmen, thinking that's how I was firing. Then I realized I just needed to drag wizards onto the field. :) It was very easy - too bad there wasn't more waves.
Either there was no sound, or it didn't work, and I didn't understand the need for the "reboot your phone to play again" message. I could play again, but some of the sprites (projectiles and wizards) were messed up, so after killing the app with a task manager and starting again it worked fine. FYI it ran well on an old Samsung Galaxy 551 with 2.2.
Dec 19 02:20:00 13m 00s A gory Slime Good job, but I had the same problem running into the wolves because of having to get too close to the edge of the screen to make it scroll - couldn't see what was coming. Music was well done.
Dec 19 03:49:00 1h 29m Dungeon Warden: Rise of the Goatman Love it. I played it twice. Would happily play more if it was polished into a full game.
Dec 19 04:18:00 29m 00s Robo Jerks It's a functional turn-based game - great job on getting that working. It would have been nice to have buttons or text in the game to help figure out the controls. I was a bit annoyed by the enemy infantry surrounding me before I could even build a factory, but I could still got rid of them. I also got the error on the 'backup' map.
Dec 19 04:50:00 32m 00s Gold Thief I'll admit I got frustrated and gave up trying to get past the double lasers, but the controls and gameplay is really well done. A bit annoying having the pop up text information covering the player when there was plenty of room at top or bottom of screen for it.
Dec 19 05:13:00 23m 00s Virus Infestation I love this one! Reminded me a lot of Gauntlet.
Dec 21 02:32:00 45h 19m Tale of Scale You've managed to capture what is probably a universal childhood fantasy that many of us may have forgotten about. For a few minutes I reexperienced the awe, creativity and mischievousness of being a child left alone with his imagination. Thank-you.
Dec 22 03:10:00 24h 38m Mothership: The Sequel I really like the idea of this. It begs to be played on a touch screen. I found the audio to be really irritating though, especially the relentless hero firing sound.
Dec 22 03:45:00 35m 00s Minions I could see myself playing a fully developed game like this.
Dec 22 14:07:00 10h 22m Fetch Quest The idea of the villain investing in preparation for his inevitable downfall is quite hilarious! I can't say I made enough for my villain to have a comfortable retirement though - he would probably have to move into his evil son's basement. If this was developed further I'd like to see the hero unable to attack my lair until he reaches a certain level.
Dec 22 18:05:00 3h 58m Dr. Vile in The Greater Good Great quality.. amazed at how much you got done here. If the number of objects you had to collect was reduced by half it might not have had a chance to feel repetitive.
Dec 23 15:16:00 21h 11m Legithief I had a lot of fun whacking things, but I didn't understand what it is I did to trigger a 'win' for each level. I liked the controls and feel of the platforming - the bugs I encountered with it were that you could tap jump to climb up walls, and the player wasn't 'stuck' the ladder when using it, you could pull off to one side and get inside the ground. I moved down a ladder and kept going into the ground then popped right out into white space, but it triggered the level to complete. :D Great job on the art too, both quality and quantity.
Dec 23 15:36:00 20m 00s Regnant I like the art. It took a while to figure out how to play even after reading the instructions. All the units I created kept getting slaughtered by a wandering princess? The red text was usually very hard to read against the background.
Dec 23 15:58:00 22m 00s Grave Robin I'm furious that my hard-earned tax dollars are being wasted on having law enforcement officers patrol the graveyards at all hours. I can assure you I will be writing a strongly worded letter to the mayor! (Well done.)
Dec 23 17:00:00 1h 02m Agents Sadly my only Android device is an old Galaxy 551 running 2.2 and it 'ended unexpectedly' on startup of the game. Such a great idea, though. I can imagine this type of game as a new genre, for example a game version of The Bone Collector where you play as Denzel Washington's character.
Dec 23 17:09:00 9m 00s Robin Banks Looks great, plays great, and feels finished. Wooo...$145!
Dec 23 17:28:00 19m 00s You are the King Well done, but I stopped playing with over 170 days left to go in the game - please consider that we have 1300+ other entries available to try! :D
Dec 23 17:38:00 10m 00s Space Liberators Congrats on finishing! I really like the idea, but had the same control issues as others have mentioned.
Jan 4 01:38:00 272h 00m Namcap: Reverse Pacman Nice job! Looking forward to seeing how you make out with the post-compo version.
Jan 4 01:50:00 12m 00s Mother F****r Nature Funny stuff! After the first level I never had enough time to save up enough for anything but comets and a few tidal waves.
Jan 4 02:06:00 16m 00s (Tie One Woman to a Train Track and Suddenly) I'm the Badguy Excellent game. I love the feel of the grid-based movement along with that little tapping sound you make. A lot of other nice touches in sound/graphics/humour make this one really memorable.
Jan 4 03:12:00 1h 06m 60 Second Bad Boy I though this was really well put together. The balloon popping level was infuriating - the only one I couldn't complete in training. Sometimes the levels ended abruptly, I wasn't sure if I missed clicks or ran out of time.
Jan 4 16:49:00 13h 37m Test Subject Gamma I wasn't sure what I was trying to do, but I felt evil doing it!
Jan 4 16:59:00 10m 00s Pandemic Simulator Nifty map generation. I like the news ticker - "Yahoo clones Spider-man" ...what? Ha ha.
Jan 4 18:10:00 1h 11m Trina of The Depths After coming back to try this again (I didn't know how to rate it a week or so ago), I don't think there is anything wrong with the controls, it's just that the gravity is way too strong. If you let Trina fall she will pick up so much speed the screen can't scroll fast enough to keep up. Since there is no real consequence or hazards (like bottomless pits) for running out of muscle energy, why not make her more buoyant and let the player focus more on exploring the beautiful world you've created?
(Apologies if i'm repeating points already made, I haven't read all the previous comments.)
Jan 4 18:57:00 47m 00s Overlord It took me a while to grasp the hover mechanic, but I think it's a great idea. Would have caught on to it better if the cursor was something like an evil hand and there was some visual feedback when hovering over things. Nice work.
Jan 4 19:20:00 23m 00s SpaceGreed Nice idea! The flying and shooting part of the game feels much more polished than the base building.
Jan 4 20:03:00 43m 00s Make It Black I loved spewing bile all over the place! I would have covered every surface if allowed - sometimes it was tricky to darken a ground tile that was in a corner. The little details you added made up for the additional level you didn't have time for.
Jan 5 13:28:00 17h 25m PunchTheBaby & Goats Ha ha! In this case, kgb is the villain. I'd have better luck playing 'Mike Tyson's Punch Out!' with my elbows.
Jan 7 22:34:00 57h 06m Tail Orbit Simple, fun, and looks great! An original take on the classic 'snake' game.
