| Aug 29 15:07:00 | Evolver.exe + Src! | It seems an interesting concept, a game that evolves itself as you go along. But I cant understand it from the game itself or the description page. Maybe you should make a post where you explain the game, and link that post to this game page? (I did that with the manual to my game) | |
| Aug 29 15:12:00 | 5m 00s | Bubble Breeders | I got a "no lwjgl on the library path" error (ubuntu) - maybe you should bundle it with your game? |
| Sep 1 04:02:00 | 60h 50m | rEvolution | For such a simple game, it was surprisingly fun. I really liked the manual activation traps, and the death animation of your enemies. A full fledged tower defense where you have few enemies and towers, but you have to click the towers to activate them, would be quite interesting.

The music was not bad at all.

The game (even what you planned) kinda passed far away from the theme though. Evolution != upgrades.

Thanks for the game, it was fun! |
| Sep 1 04:13:00 | 11m 00s | Social Evolution | I really liked your graphical style! The little things like the shadow-girls in the background improve the game immensely.

This was an interesting game! I think you should get a "game over" when you try to go for Lucy too many times without being ready -- maybe with different endings?

I guess trying to make your self attractive to mates fall into the theme of "evolution"... somewhat. But it is funny/weird that Lucy won't go out with you unless you are married! :-P

Thanks for the game! I really liked it! |
| Sep 1 04:20:00 | 7m 00s | Go Robot Go! | The sounds were pretty good, and the graphics were not bad either!

I found the game to be a bit repetitive, though. Maybe you should make the upgrades increase a bit faster, and at the same time make the game harder by making the enemies shoot more or something.

Thanks for the game anyway! |
| Sep 1 04:24:00 | 4m 00s | Move forward | The game looks really nice, but it is kinda too heavy and unresponsive in my netbook :-/ Runs reeeaaalllyyy slow.

I like that the underside of rocks looks mossy! |
| Sep 1 04:31:00 | 7m 00s | Stop Evolution Tower Defense | Well, a game with DINOSAURS is always a tad more cooler than a game without them :-)

The interface was a bit confusing, maybe you should have made the gold indicator stand out a bit more. Also, I could not tell the difference between a warrior and an archer. |
| Sep 1 04:44:00 | 13m 00s | Involucion | Very Interesting! You should have implemented some sort of crossover or mutation mechanic, but the niche-formation was pretty cool. |
| Sep 1 04:49:00 | 5m 00s | Unnatural Selection | Well, the game is kinda fun, even if in an unfinished state. The platforming is quite solid, and the music is cool too.

I really like the "go back to the safe room every X minutes" mechanic, even if it doesn't really have a lot to do with evolution in its current state.

I would love to see you keep working on this game. Good job! |
| Sep 1 04:54:00 | 5m 00s | Squarely Alive | That is a pretty neat game, and an interesting take on evolution!

It would be cool if the cubes that divided from you inherited your movement patterns (maybe imitating you, or doing the reverse, etc). It seems to me that in your world, with such limited vision, movement patterns are more important than speed, etc :-) |
| Sep 1 05:05:00 | 11m 00s | UN-Natural Selection | Very interesting game, a great take on the theme!

I found that the game was a bit too difficulty, I couldn't get past of the 4th or 5th event -> this was mainly because the breeding animation took too long, an I could never get more than 3-4 offspring. Maybe making the game allow twins would help? |
| Sep 4 21:31:00 | 88h 26m | AvRvE | The game was pretty fun and challenging to play! I liked the different challenges in the puzzles, with the mix of time-based puzzles, turn-based puzzles, etc. The music was pretty neat. Good polish!

The connection with the theme was kinda tenuous, but I really liked the game! Thanks for suggesting it! |
| Sep 4 21:37:00 | 6m 00s | LudumVille | I really liked the song (it was working for linux!). The game works for me. I think it is a bit hard to try and "drive" the evolution - the uniform crossover you are using tends to make genes homogeneous a bit too fast: what is the rule you are using when two gene strings are of different lengths?

One thing that would greatly help the game is some balancing to make it possible to "lose" the game. Right now the only difference is how fast you make money.

Also, 100 turns might be a tad too long.

Cheers! |
| Sep 4 22:03:00 | 26m 00s | eukaryotic. | Not bad at all. I really liked this tower defense game: the balance was quite well done, I felt like I was being challenged at every level. I managed to survive until level 27.

The idea of having a "energy tower" path and a "shooting tower" path was pretty neat. It would be nice to have an explanation of what "web shot" and "honey shot" means.

Props for the funny intro animation!

I do take issue with the "evolution = upgrades" thing, but I'm grumpy like that :-)

Thanks for the game! |
| Sep 4 22:24:00 | 21m 00s | Evo | The game was fairly challenging, and I found the puzzles to be innovative. I didn't like the "flying" mutation too much - the timing was hard to get, but that might have been just me.

The walking beanies looked kind of mean :-) |
| Sep 4 22:29:00 | 5m 00s | Shootout | This was a very cool idea, but it was kinda short.

I think that two things (besides making the game longer) would improve the game a lot:

1- make a small pause between stages
2- clean the game state between stages. I jumped from stage 3 to stage 5 in a second because my bullets were in the right places.

I liked the sound, and I really liked the simple graphics. |
| Sep 4 22:41:00 | 12m 00s | Threevolution | Wow, very well polished game, with a great graphical style! I felt I was back at the Gameboy era! The gameplay itself was pretty neat too, although a bit on the easy side.

On a side note, I would double the FPS on your timelapse. I find that 3-5 minutes is an optimal time for those.

Thanks for the game! |
| Sep 5 00:05:00 | 1h 24m | Bloodline | The idea of tying the upgrade path to the physical path you travel in the dungeon was really cool. However, other than the colors, I couldn't really notice how the player changed with each upgrade.

The three enemies where quite interesting, and I loved the sound effects. |
| Sep 5 00:36:00 | 31m 00s | Pasazh | Pretty cool game, I really liked the map design and sprites. The shooting sound effect was kinda weird, but the other sound effects were great.

There was a weird graphic glitch on the "outside the cave" screen.

Thanks for the game! |
| Sep 5 00:52:00 | 16m 00s | Darwin's Apple | That is a pretty cool concept, breeding your army and moving it forward.

I thought that the play field was a bit too narrow -- you could probably make the tiles smaller and the paths wider.

Great game! |
| Sep 5 01:18:00 | 26m 00s | Young Earth Road Trip | That is a very interesting take on the theme, if a bit preachy (he he). The kitten sub-game was kinda glitchy, but it was really nice that there were different ways to convince different characters.

It would be nice if there were more characters, and you had partial win conditions.

Thanks for the game! |
