Devenger: Not sure what you mean. You can get away from the right-most altar by just going through the tunnels? Try opening up the "Res" folder and looking at "World.png" at a large magnification - that should give you a full map of the world.
Honestly, it's just a poor choice of background colour. Again, something that I would have changed had I had the time.
Dark on foreground tiles on a dark background? Not a good mix. Pity the controls aren't great - I really liked the D.I.S.C. mechanic.
This is interesting! It was fun to mess around with - putting an actual game in there would just sweeten the deal.
Controls are a bit iffy, and the bullet/rat collision detection is flawed. A lot of the time it looked like bullets were hitting a rat, but nothing happened. Still, a nice start.
