Nice work! The concept and story was really intriguing and funny, and I found myself reading through the whole introduction and enjoying it. Loved the artwork for the cats, they're so cute on stage!

The idea of cat music battles was exciting, but the execution let me down - The HP bars were too big and there didn't seem to be a strategic way to win. I tried the first battle twice, but it felt like I lost due to random chance both times, so I didn't know what to do after that.

I'm really looking forward to knowing what happens next in the story though :).

A Glorious Rule by gamesplusjames 2021-10-05T15:38:59Z

Fun puzzles! These kept me occupied for a loooong time, and I liked how the complexity increased steadily over time. Though sometimes if you didn't find the correct solution early on, your mistakes can lead you into a much more complicated board situation from which it's much harder to find a solution. Got till Day 15 (?) where I got totally stuck on the second puzzle.

The dictatorship theme was very well executed with great monologue from the advisor. Though the gameplay has pretty much no relation with the story, somehow it kind of went together.

Great work overall, and there's a lot of content for a 3-day jam! I enjoyed this one.

It Was Desert by senar93 2021-10-05T14:33:16Z

Pretty innovative and well-polished puzzle game. I found the mechanic a little hard to get the hang of, because there didn't seem to be any clear pattern as to which way the dice would move after turning over. I'm sure it has something to do with the arrows on each side, but I couldn't grasp the exact pattern so it was a bit frustrating after a while.

The visual polish is amazing, and I really loved the level select, super creative with so much attention to detail! The artwork and overall aesthetic is very pleasing, and suitable for a puzzle game.

Great work overall, I might come back to it when I have some more time to wrap my head around the puzzle mechanic.

Really interesting graphical style that caught my attention immediately. I liked the environment and the way you could keep traveling in a single direction, through buildings and villages. It made the world feel fun to explore.

Finding the animals in odd places was pretty fun. The building system turned out to a be a bit too confusing for me though. I wasn't clear about how to place certain objects - I managed to build the bridge over the river, but then I found a chicken on a rooftop and wasn't sure how to get up there. The ladder wasn't getting placed where I wanted it to, though the ladder icon shows up on the screen.

Eventually I got stuck by climbing a ladder and then accidentally deleting it while standing on it - which kept me hovering in the air permanently, lol.

Pretty fun overall, I wish the building system was a bit more obvious to use, because the puzzles seemed very interesting.

Really fun game, I especially enjoyed how I initially felt totally out of control, but soon started to learn how to control my attacks/movement indirectly by switching spells and timing the special. Really innovative design and fun to play around with!

The graphics and art fit the pico-8 aesthetic perfectly, and were colourful and attractive. The visual effects were super polished too. Evil rabbit enemies get a special mention, they were so cute hehe.

Got 246 as my highscore so far, lets see how much further I can get :)

Elephants Never Tumble by zappablamma 2021-10-05T10:12:56Z

This was understated and hilarious. I like how absolutely no context was given for why I am stacking beating hearts, refrigerators, and snakes on top of an elephant on a tightrope.

On a more serious note, the gameplay is actually pretty fun, and I especially liked the swaying of the elephant on the tightrope when you change the weight balance of the structure, it felt really responsive. I stacked up till 33 meters, mostly using vertical snakes and nailed planks (sorry snakes).

My only grouse was that when you try put an object back down onto the cliff it sometimes falls into the abyss anyway, which was a bit annoying. It would also have been nice to have specific sounds for each object, like a squishy sound when placing the heart, for example.

Great work, and I had a good laugh and some meditative fun :)

Elusive Glow by MishaNiks 2021-10-05T14:44:28Z

Pretty neat concept! Loved the reference to 'unstable elements' and decay chains. The gameplay was a bit standard for the genre, would have liked to see some more mechanics introduced as the decay chain progressed. Still, it's short and fun. Loved the main menu screen as well, very detailed and atmospheric artwork.
