Fun game I enjoyed the humour with the basic premise and dialogue. The music was simple but enjoyable, it's a shame it seems to randomly stop playing for me at times.

Interesting concept, the main mechanic is interesting, but not sure it's worth taking the time to use it. A really long and fairly detailed level, nice graphics, but the audio is a bit frustrating, especially without music.
Very relaxing game with pleasant music and very nice NES-style graphics, I didn't quite get at first, because I just got launched in there and didn't have any money once I got to the window. Some things could be made a little bit clearer (amount you're taxed, what conditions the buildings have in terms of getting built over your fields). I made it to year 46 on my second try.
Really enjoyed this game, simple graphical design, good levels, some quite challenging levels and really quite fun overall. Not as much a fan of the music, but that's not really the focus, and the sound design is otherwise good. I could really see something like this being developed into a full game, especially a phone or browser-friendly version.
Really nice looking game, I enjoyed the music too.
I really enjoyed this one, it has really cute graphics, a different interpretation of the theme, interesting mechanics and really smart level and puzzle design. Puzzles are challenging and take time to figure out, but don't feel obtuse. Well done!
@mza Hey, thanks, you get to shoot multiple lasers per turn once you get additional powerups to do that. For the blast radius, I had considered that as a powerup too, but didn't implement it in time.
@erkberg Hey, thanks for your comment, your input is really appreciated. I kind of wanted it to be keyboard only, to level the playing field, but yeah, I agree I could have done this differently. And yes, unfortunately, I didn't have time to work on an ending condition, or to really balance the game once I was done, so if you reach round 60-80 you can go ahead and consider you've won (congratulations by the way). If I had had enough time, I would have made it so that the player can either select an endless mode, which would have kept getting harder (the game eventually stops getting harder at a point currently) and a story mode, where the game does effectively end after a certain round, or perhaps, if I were to really expand on the idea, after a few levels, with new block types and challenges getting added on each level.
This is pretty cool, you really have to think about how to best to approach the level. The inventory system is interesting and not what you'd expect from a game like this, good job. Fits well with the theme.
Hey, your game looks really cool, but I'm also having trouble placing islands and the quit button in the pause menu doesn't seem to work. You're allowed to make bug fixes past the deadlines according to the rules, so I'd give it another try if you did.
@Ancalagon The trolley will always head down the track highlighted in brown (same color as the track it starts on). Thanks for the feedback!
