Implementing a mana system rather than using health would have been good, killed myself in 1 attack XD The transition to battle was smooth and like others have said, the movement is fun and satisfying. I'd be interested in seeing where this goes outside of Ludum Dare's theme restrictions.
The sliding mechanic was soooooo satisfying. Can see this being a fun party game if it was multiplayer. Awesome idea.
The art is very pretty, gameplay is okay, best part for me was the shooting, found that interesting.
Being up to date on FFXIV, I see a lot of inspiration drawn from Elpis and Meteion. That's actually what initially drew me to try it. The game has a resolution which isn't something you always see in a game Jam so good on you for that. The art was nice and although visual novels aren't usually my thing, it was entertaining enough.
