LD59 — Signal

FULL CLASP : Clasp Warfare by ragtagradical 2026-04-21T08:22:08Z

Despite receiving thermonuclear annihilation 3 separate times, I loved this! The sounds are satisfying and the controls are responsive and snappy. Amazing use of the concept and just a lot of fun. Amazing work.

Sci-Null Runner by WeGlove 2026-04-21T08:13:30Z

Very enjoyable mechanics at work here! I especially enjoyed the note block puzzles. It uses the theme very well. However, The music is a little repetitive and loud, and sometimes turning a signal off when you are already past it kills you. Solid work! :)

Signal, Frog by SteveOfStevesGames 2026-04-21T08:48:04Z

This game made me wish my eyes could look two independent directions. Deceptively difficult and fun! I also squished the frog which made me sad so I couldn't bare to keep playing. Poor guy :(

One complaint I have is that if the frog is angry, he can stay that way for quite some time. I enjoyed the light mechanic as it still allows you to gain points, just with different rules, but the frog feels punishing and a little boring since you aren't able to do anything while he's mad. Signals should also be made a little clearer/larger. Overall though, good work and a very unique entry for sure!

Signals of God by Geeni 2026-04-21T09:22:22Z

While the gameplay isn't much to write home about, the absurd style and world kept me engaged the whole time. I adored the sound design, story, characters and the strange humor presented throughout. The dialogue sounds were especially satisfying to me! Overall this is a fantastic entry, I loved it and I hope you continue to explore this style.

Caller IDie by Charles Mossius 2026-04-21T09:35:26Z

@omi only ever happened to me once while testing, crossed my fingers hoping it wouldn't happen to anyone else lol. Pity! Glad you liked the style though :)

Caller IDie by Charles Mossius 2026-04-21T10:35:32Z

@geeni the whole lives/checkpoints/respawn thing was kind of a last minute addition to make the game feel more complete, but I understand that the AI was never bug fixed enough to have those features be too enjoyable. I'm glad you at least got some sort of enjoyment out of my game. Thanks for playing!

@bumble truthfully, the AI isn't that special. I've just never made navigating AI before and I had to be very proud of myself to push on for a release in time! He can cut you off and can use areas you jumped to use them as shortcuts, but it's scuffed and he doesn't do it sometimes. Thank you for playing!

@chybby @geeni I released a small balance update to address some of the difficulty problems you guys expressed, thanks for your feedback! Feel free to try the game again if you wish :)

Caller IDie by Charles Mossius 2026-05-03T12:27:27Z

I reverted the game back to its initial jam state after poorly misreading the rules on updating. Luckily I don't think it was played since being updated last night. I will upload the balanced version as a separate entry.

@pickens-inc thank you so much for all the feedback. Constructive criticism really goes a long way for me personally, and seeing that it's mostly the same issues shared between players gives me confidence that I can do better next time. Tutorials and demonstration of mechanics has always been a weak point for me and something I hope to improve further!

TRAFICO by mostlypants 2026-04-21T08:56:29Z

Lovely game! A ton of polish and I enjoyed the artstyle. My only complaint was that the whistle sounds got quite irritating over time, and there is not enough variation in the whistle sound effects. Overall it is a very endearing game, with a fun yet challenging gameplay loop!

Bats with Cars by Klight 2026-04-21T09:04:22Z

Great concept, but I felt the UI was too small and I had a few issues with cars driving on despite the road being stopped. With more time in the oven this game could have been a lot more fun and have more polish. The sounds are a little lacking, and I'm not sure if the music fits (it sounds more like an old school RPG theme?) However overall the use of the theme was creative and quite cute. Good work!
