LD21 — Escape

and just like that by bburbank 2011-09-14T09:23:00

The music in the first part was what made me stay. It's really good! Then it disappeared... and I went into the warp-tunnel to get the music again. X3

Then I realized that I'd have to redo the whole game from the beginning, and I was really mad. But oh well!

Great game!

First of all, the art style is pretty amazing. Bevelled pixels? I've never seen that!

The music makes for great ambience, and adds to the already mysterious/peaceful atmosphere of the game.

The addition of the shadow as a gameplay element is quite a good innovation, and adds a level of ingenuity to an otherwise pretty normal gameplay! You'd think the game would get quite frantic, but it actually doesn't when you realize how he moves.

The ending is really nicely made, with the dog's "afterlife" going on forever. This is an amazing flash game, not only by Ludum Dare standards!

LD27 — 10 Seconds

Ten Seconds of Thrust! by wulfdesign 2013-09-15T17:04:00

The time is going negative, my thrust is going negative, I can fly through some walls and nothing is happening. I think a few bugs might need fixing.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Ports Ahoy! The Age of Trade by Literal Games 2014-08-27T19:07:00

Samuel here! A wee bit disappointed with the name, nudge nudge, but oh wow it turned out well. It's really fun!

It should probably be a bit easier to send out privateers. Drawing a route all the way from Bristol feels a bit unnecessary when their route often doesn't matter at all. And there being no way to keep track of pirate attacks? That's just a pain.

Overall, though, I've had a load of fun building my trading empire and I'm so glad I decided to stop by both for the dev and the actual game! Great job!

"You scored a paltry 56."

C'mon, man, that's not paltry. C'moooonnnnn.

Reminds me of HopSlide! This better get one of the top Theme scores - ridiculously cool concept.

Orbitalis by acerunox 2014-12-07T22:46:00

Isn't Orbitalis already the name of a Ludum Dare game? One that came out on Steam, even?

Grid Cars by Germanunkol 2014-12-11T20:30:00

Hahhahah, I've played this with pen and paper! Was that where you got the idea?

I agree with plash: the AI really helps with actually making the game feel scary. I really did feel a bit frightened, what with the excellent, dark sound design and art, and the line of sight mechanic making things harder on you. Great work!
