Really pretty art: the desert ruins, the carved glyphs that light up on the ground and the big mask panel give it a strong identity, and the little intro dialogue sets the scene nicely. I struggled with the controls though: I couldn't figure out how to place the stone pieces on the slots before the first wave arrived. A highlighted first placement or a one-line hint would make the start much smoother. Nice look!

Hi!

This game flowed so well. The tutorial stage was engaging, loved the little humor tidbits!

What I really liked the most about all this was the whole "flow". What I mean is that it just felt natural to play, (sure yes, it's a TD game) but you executed it so well. Almost like a tutorial wasn't needed.

The aesthetic is awesome, the music too. Cohesive art and the UI was clear enough to guide me to what I wanted to do.

Dope work, y'all. You should be proud.

I thiiiiiiiink that you have potential to make something legit. Especially if you lean into (what i can see) the fact that you can make a seamless and smooth gameplay.

(If you want, check out my team's game. IF you like management games, otherwise ignore it ^^)

Thanks for the play time :D

I took an embarassing amount of time before figuring out the button on the top-right showed updated info on the tiles and not just the different slot sizes lmao Great visuals and very fun twist on a tower defense! It could use some more sound effects but otherwise, pretty complete game šŸ‘

The art and music is great and fits the setting perfectly. Felt a little unbalanced but overall really enjoyed it!

Good art and music, overall quite a fun game, and my favorite yet for the "old tech" theme (and also the oldest tech I've seen here). Upgrades are varied and replayable. I think it would be better if there're a fixed number of bonuses and rerolls between rounds instead of relying on your mouse dragging accuracy to get fast card refreshes, and spawn more "slots" cards overall until you can no longer place more of them (I often get too many plates but no slots to put in).

The music puts you in a genuine trance. It would be super cool to place towers directly on beat! Overall a solid tower defense without an economy, though random block drops can occasionally ruin a run. Love the tower abilities, just wish there were even more. Got totally hooked. Thanks for the game!

Interesting tower placement system, but it’s not really clear what the bonuses do or how they differ from each other. Nice style and it combines great with the theme! A bit of a shame there are a ton of waves on one level—definitely wanted more variety.

Very ancient mechanism... But I think the mechanics of combining tower elements could be developed further.

@maxxxmax Thanks for the feedback! 😊 We actually have a hint system in the top-right corner that explains the bonuses, but maybe we could have made it more noticeable!

Great game. The symbols were reasonably discoverable with experimentation. I really liked the lightning tower. My only issue is that critters at the flag could hit it without being in tower range, unless I use a range upgrade.

Very nice little tower defense game! The art and the music work really well together and it's very enjoyable! A very nice interpretation of the theme!

I got a bit impatient during the tutorial and was confused why I couldn't click on the elements that the tutorial told me to click until after a certain message was displayed. And I was confused about which block had how many slots šŸ˜… Maybe as a quality of life improvement we could upgrade a 1-slot to a higher slot block by just dragging in the new block instead of having to demolish the old one?

The artwork and the feel of theg ame really was on point for the theme! Struggled a bit with the controls, but the ? int he corner was helpful!!

Nice game!!

I’m a bit biased here, as I’m a big fan of tower defense games.

This is a simple, very attractive game. The visuals are lovely, though I do wonder why the two researchers are represented just as squares—I assume there simply wasn't enough time to design them properly.

The music is simple, yet it effectively captures a desert atmosphere through its use of percussion instruments.

I initially struggled to realize that I had to place a "base" before I could set up any weapons. I ended up restarting the game three times because I didn't grasp this mechanic. Once I figured it out, reaching the end was a breeze; it’s not a difficult game.

One critique I have is that the item inventory space is quite limited (only 6 items, if I’m not mistaken). To make room for new items, I have to destroy ones already on the battlefield—but destroying a weapon also destroys its base. Often, after destroying one, a new base wouldn't appear, leaving me unable to place another weapon and effectively getting me stuck again.

Did anyone else run into this issue?

Regardless, it’s a cool game.

Well done!

@euler-moises Thanks for the feedback! To get rid of unnecessary items in the inventory, you can feed them to the head, which spits them out.
