This art style is amazing! Cool approach!
It looks really cool, and the music is nice, but I couldn’t figure out how to play the pipe. No matter how much I clicked on the screen or pressed keys on the keyboard, I couldn’t get any result… I don’t know if I’m just being dumb or if something broke. In the end, the pipe never appeared and I got eaten by those mouse girls…
@lehanfox That's odd, are you typing only the letters that are above the rats on screen?
@stalemeat Oh, I figured it out. I assumed I just had to type the words, but for some reason it didn't work right away. Don't worry, I might just be inattentive :D
Cute ! reminds me of old browser games and typing game tutorial software things, the art style is also super reminiscent of that era and feels really warm !
This game is incredibly creative and has such a lovely art style—I think it has so much potential. It might be nice to have the notes form melodies that echo the background music, to enhance the sense of feedback. To keep the sound harmonious, instead of playing each keyboard input immediately, you could wait until a melodic phrase is finished before playing it back.Or an even more fun approach: let each mouse have three or four notes above its head that form a chord. When you defeat the mice in rhythm, play all three notes at once to create a satisfying chord progression.
Cool game, pretty visal and main idea gj guys
Very nice game and cool art!
The sound was excellent, and the game immersion was even better because I had to look left and right.
Sadly too short, I was enjoying it. I don't think having to move left and right was a good choice though, I'd rather just focus on writing the notes.
I'd rather spend time with the mouse girls than fighting them off =(
Seriously, while the idea isn't new, it's executed brilliantly. In my opinion, the camera movement detracts from the gameplay. Instead, they could have made the mouse girls appear more often, and the camera couldn't be moved.
Great game, thanks!
Really cool charachters and presentation! Would be cool to play something similair on a midi keyboard.
Very interesting art style
The sound effects and art are both very impressive!!
Pied Typer is a Typing of the Dead type beat where you type solfège to fight off killer rats. It's got No Grape's signature charming art direction and some welcome and very real old-school Newgrounds vibes.
I realized that there was a camera where you can look around just in time to see a few new pals right next to me in need of a good dooting into the stratosphere. Good ending is very cute. Dug it.
simple and short but I enjoyed it, typing out musical notes is a clever twist on a regular typing game!
Love the art! It took me a second to figure out what was happening, but once I did I locked in!
I didn't read the text correctly at first and it took me a while to figure out that I should move left and right while typing, but once that was clear, I managed to finish the game. It might have been even a little bit too easy, but better too easy than too difficult, I guess. I loved the art style, somehow didn't expect the rats to be so cute :smirk_cat: and the music was great as well. The intro was funny and contributed a lot to the overall mood of the game.
I must ask though... If the rats "meant no harm", then how come that when you loose you get a big red "death" sign, hmm? I wouldn't call that "no harm" at all, haha!
This is a very good entry, congrats! I actually wouldn't mind to play more adventures with Comet - as in, continuing the story with the magical flute. Pretty fun!
Loved the retro Japanese game vibe! The enemies suddenly appearing at point blank felt a bit cheap though.
Great game! It's very easy to pick up, and the soundtrack is absolutely fantastic.
A very retro art style! I really like your character design. It would be even better if the notes and melodies were a bit more regular. Looking forward to more works!
