@towercrane thank you! We ran out of time unfortunately...
Good game concept, reminds me of REPO
The developers are great. If it's not a secret, how long did you come up with an idea after the announcement of the theme, before you started development?
I liked the idea. I wish there was a web version.
@vadim-lyanka thank you!
@semenchk, I had the intention of making a coop game before the jam had started, as well as we decided to use city surroundings by art reason. So when the theme was set, it was pretty clear that we do some kind of resource picking in the post apocalypse city. The bot came a bit later, again for art reasons, so we woudn't have to make human model and animations :D
@baluj thanks! I wish unreal engine supported it...
@heiden-bzr You might try running it through cloud streaming instead both Google Cloud (with free trial credits) and NVIDIA GeForce NOW / CloudXR let you host your Unreal project on a GPU server and stream it directly to a browser. It’s not the .exe itself, but it’s the closest way to share a full Unreal experience on the web.
Impressed this has working multiplayer! We ran it through parsec and it worked like a charm. Great job!
Played local coop over Parsec with GhostintheToast and had a pretty decent time! Super cool that you had multiplayer and the idea is rock solid! Hope this goes somewhere in the future, this style of coop game is always good fun :)
@baluj whoa thank you very much I'll investigate that!
@ghost-in-the-toast @conduit thanks! <3
Wow! Very interesting project for game jam! I like atmosphere and level design. I want to try playing with friends this weekend. We need something like Radmin for that, right?
@apdt hello! Yep, Radmin/Hamachi/Anything like this, so you could have a certain IP, and check that you can ping each other before you actually try connect in the game. Also you may try Parsec like people above, it let you connect in local coop, which game also supports in split screen mode. I've tried it too, seems very user friendly... But there's a bug in local coop with incap hub, so anyway it's better to try IP connection first.
It's not often you see a multiplayer game on Ludum Dare, but you managed to pull it off wonderfully. Is the lack of audio the result of running out of time?
@phoenix-fireflower hello! thank you! Yes, unfortunatelly. I had big plans about player sounds in particular, but figuring out multiplayer took a bit too much
It's a cool game. I enjoy playing these kinds of survival games occasionally. So far, I feel like it's seriously missing something. But speaking of the obvious, I had no idea where to go to get outside. The door wasn't obvious. Overall, it's got a certain atmosphere and tension, I like it!
@ginger-kyoko thank you! yeah, the hub was the last thing made and we should have ux tested it at least once..
Oh man! My type of game!!! Well, the concept is good, and I would say it is a solid start, the progression already makes sense, I would love to see upgrades like speed, carrying capacity or cold resist, to really feel like there is progress. With more time and polishment I see the team going there. Congrats on the game, and as previous comments said, sound would be a total plus, specially in imersion
Hello! Looks like Your game is not available anymore. The dropmefiles.com link says that files were deleted.
"Files were deleted." :(
@evil23 thanks! we reuploaded 72h build on Itch with no edit, check it out! https://heidenbzr.itch.io/do-scrap-together
