I didn't expect a type writing game can be this fun! the atmosphere and bgm are great as well. well done! PS:if press too fast my character stucks. looks like a little bug. and appreciate if you can review back

Really tricky to play with a french keyboard xD but I like the idea, visuals and ambiance :)

skale 2025-10-08 19:30

Very fun game! I actually spent more time on this one than any other I’ve rated. Everything is amazing — the concept, gameplay, art style, and sound effects. I'm happy that my fast-typing skills were useful XD.

Here is my score :sunglasses:

This is such a cool concept! Haven't seen this before where the key inputs are mapped into the actual in-game world. It works really well! AND THERE IS EVEN A LEADERBOARD, HELL YEAH!!!

I think I would've liked if the character moved a lot faster, allowing for the difficulty to ramp up wayy more. Making it so the player needs to type extremely fast in order to beat harder levels or maybe certain bosses?

I feel like this could really be expanded on in a way that you could turn it into an actual full release.

Really cool guys, awesome entry!

interesting game! I like this idea.

I think I've managed to set a record. This game is truly worth checking out. It reminded me of childhood typing exercises. Nostalgia!

Technically, everything is top-notch. Nice music and graphics, funny voice. Why so few ratings? Hey, people! This is a 10/10!!!! qwe.png

Reminds me of a cross between The Price is Right's Pathfinder game and Bennett Foddy's GIRP (the rock climbing game). Conceptually it's *fantastic,* but the implementation leaves something to be desired: the animations don't quite seem to sync properly with the gameplay, to the point that the first time I played I got stuck in a corner unable to move while the "current location" cursor remained on a tile to my right. The voices calling out each letter often don't play on cue, either.

Also, I was confused as to why running into skeletons made *them* collapse until I noticed the health gauge in the corner. Taking damage really ought to give more feedback - an explosion, a scream, a screen shake, anything.

Great idea and implementation, it's cool that you added a leaderboard, well done!

@ryusui Thank you so much for the honest review. It is pretty rare to get such detailed feedback during the jam and I really appreciate it.

The movement bug you ran into is one we are aware of. We noticed it right after the deadline, but since Ludum Dare is over, we will leave the version as it is. We kind of messed up there and we will just own it.

About the damage feedback, there is actually supposed to be a scream sound and a small animation on the health bar, but some of the audio does not always trigger properly and the health effect ended up being too subtle. Definitely something we will improve if we make a post jam version.

Thanks again for playing and taking the time to write such thoughtful feedback. It really means a lot.

Thanks a lot, @skale, @re-markable, and @apdt. We really appreciate you all taking the time to play and leave such kind and detailed feedback.

We are super happy you enjoyed the idea, the typing mechanic, and the overall vibe. The game was actually meant to be much faster and harder at first, but we have a habit of making our jam games too difficult, so this time we tried to tone it down a bit.

It is awesome to hear it brought back some nostalgia and that you had fun chasing high scores. Thanks again for the support and encouragement.

skale 2025-10-11 19:12

@anaconda-games I feel you XD. During development, you playtest so much that you become a pro at your own game, and for new players, it turns out to be surprisingly hard

daupoh 2025-10-11 19:15

nice graphic and sound, interesting game mechanic, but I often got my fingers tangled) Maybe if you started your game with smaller mesh, or maybe if game had options to show next button to each direction then for some gold fishy like me it would be nice! But still decent job!

yibirabbit007 2025-10-15 13:30

Friend, this is pretty good. It challenges your keyboard skills, hmm! Almost flawless, this is a game that really tests your typing, and then you need a bit of luck, not knowing how those bones will come near you.

But maybe adding a demonstration with some "penalty points" would be better. I hardly paid any attention to the health bar in the bottom left corner until I noticed it near the end.

I'm very curious about how these *Score* are synchronized. I can actually get the current highest score from the locally downloaded package, which is great!

weirdbitgames 2025-10-17 22:19

I gotta say I have a lot of appreciation for good sound design. I really like the voice that calls out the letters are you type them. Also a typing game, yay! This is a really cool concept!

roman-klaudo 2025-10-19 16:42

Very interesting mechanics and graphical style, it looks like a completely finished game! Yes, I agree with other commentators that from level to level you can make the grid more complex and increase the number of cells, but I was directly fascinated by it and I felt the excitement!

kantona 2025-10-19 17:53

Really cool and unique idea! I'm so clumsy so i never got a good run going :D, sometimes i got stuck and i don't know if that's a bug or something and it was a bit difficult to see what letters it was when you went in upward direction. But I really enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing
